I've done a comparison using the same song that is 320kbps with multiple over-the-ear headsets(beats, boss, etc) and these are far the best I've came across. I would recommend these to anyone. They are a little cheaper and will make great Christmas gifts.

Bought these for my daughter, for a replacement for a cheaper pair. These headphones are AWESOME!! Would compare them to Beats any day. These sound just as good or better than Beats.

monster headphones

I originally wanted to get the NTune (no HD), but no Walmart had them. I purchased these and WOW was I amazed. I listen to a lot of music involving instruments (Sigur Ros, Radiohead, Explosions in the Sky) and the sounds are crisp, clean and loud. The best pair of headphones I have ever owned. They are a bit bulky, but that seems to be the norm with over the ear headphones. Whether there is a considerable difference between these and the non HD ones I cannot comment, but these are worth the money if you are a fan of hearing the music the way it was intended. No complaints. (The bulkiness is more of an FYI than a complaint). Great product.

These are nice!

I picked up the purple pair and love them. I have been using them daily while working at my desk listening to music. The sound quality is excellent and love that they buffer out the outside noise. The purple color is rich which I like. They are lightweight and do not feel heavy on your head. I do have a small head, so fit was great, but I do feel like they run a bit small. Great set of headphones for a great price. I would totally recommend these to anyone looking for a new set.

Great Value, Awesome Sound!

My husband got me a pair for Christmas. My favorite color is purple and my nickname is monster so these alone are perfect. Normally when we go to the gym I just use the white headphones my iphone came with. I hated it because I can always hear everyone slamming weights or talking to each other, but with these headphones, it drowns out everything. I even have sensitive ears so I don't turn them up all the way at all and they still are perfect. The only thing that worries me is they only come with a soft bag you can put them in. I'm worried I may break them. I haven't found anything yet that would protect them better, but I just make sure I'm cautious of them.

Perfect for the gym!

I got these headphones for my husband in orange and he loves them. The color really stands out and the headphones provide great sounds. When he travelled, he brought them on the plane with him to watch a movie and they worked great. The sound was very clear and they were very comfortable. The item is worth the price.

Love these Headphones

I purchased these Monster NTune headsets at Christmas 2015. I was immediately impressed by their style, the construction materials and quite frankly blown away by the sound quality and impressive base response. Sadly, after less than a year, they broke for seemingly no reason when I went to put them on my head.

Sound Quality:
As I stated, I was blown away by the sound quality and bass response. I'm not exaggerating, I was literally shocked! While I am not one of those "best-at-any-cost" audiophile, I do want great sound and the Monster NTune delivered in spades. I let many friends listen to these and everyone, including myself, rate them as one of the best sounding headsets we ever heard. From crisp, clean highs to low, thumping bass, they deliver without distortion or bottoming out. In fact, with a price under $100 they ARE the best I've personally ever heard and if that were the end of the review then the NTune by Monster would rate 5-stars.

Style, Materials & Durability:
As I said, I like the style of the Monster NTune headset. Big sound without a huge headset. While I opted for black, they come in a kaleidoscope of available colors. The headset feels and appear* like it is well made, out of quality materials (* See durability below). The speaker cups sit mostly on the ear, not completely over and around the ear which I personally prefer. They are comfortable where they sit. The headset's band also has a wide adjustment range to fit most heads, young and old.

The Monster NTune is not wireless. The cord is well-made. It feels like it's covered in a rubber-like material and is somewhat thicker than normal cords. While it is thicker, it is not stiff and does a good job avoiding tangles. The cord has a single button for controlling your phone of mp3 player. Also, the cord is detachable from the headset which is nice option.

Durability:
I had nothing but praise for the Monster NTune headset until November 2015 when I went to put them on my head. I gently pulled the headset apart like I had done 100's of times and they broke. The break happened just above the connection of the speaker cups to the headband. I was mad to say the least. This wasn't abuse, it is what you have to do every time you put on a headset. I thought it might be reparable since the break was clean so I bought some plastic-specific super glue. End result was a fail, it wouldn't bind. I noticed today that there was a review here by Jdog and his complaint was the same as mine

Conclusion:
A fantastic sounding headset that has a major durability issue.

Fantastic sounding headset lacking durability

I have been using these headphones for a few weeks, every day at work and have been pleased with the construction and the sound quality. First of all, I like the blue color (Candy Blueberry), which is a jewel toned blue color. The design is comfortable and fits snuggly on my head. I like that you can adjust it as well. I do not have a super large head, but they seem to run a bit on the small side. These are on-ear headphones and they sit right on top of your ears, but don't surround the entire ear (like the Bose over-the-ear headphones), so it doesn't seem to isolate the outside sound quite as well as my Bose ones.

I do think they are a good value for the price. Obviously, comparing it to the Bose headphone quality and fit is not an apples-to-apples comparison, since the Bose ones are double the price. These headphones are great for listening to music and are comfortable for all-day wear. The cord that connects to your computer or phone is very sturdy and doesn't seem like it will wear down or break, and I like that there's an audio splitter already included in the headphones if you want to share whatever you are listening to with a buddy. There's a small button on the headphone cord to pause / play the sound, which is a nice touch.

A few things that I wish could be different - it would be great to have a sturdier case to take these headphones for travel. It comes with a grey microfiber bag but it's just a bag. It would also be nice if the button on the headphones controlled the volume.

All in all, great pair of headphones in nice, vibrant colors. Good sound quality and good value for the price.

Great everyday headphones, good sound quality

I purchased these for my daughter for Christmas last year because she listens to music avidly. The sound quality of the music is great. In comparison to Beats, these to me are still far better in looks and in sound. They say they're guaranteed not to break due to their flexible design. It states you can twist and bend them. Unfortunately, we've had to replace hers 2 times due to the band across the head breaking. Thank goodness for the warranty I purchased. The 2 pair we replaced has broken in the same spot. She never twisted them. It was from taking them off her ears and putting them around her neck. She used to slide one off and put it behind her ear but after her first pair broke, she stopped doing that. Unfortunately the other pair we had replaced did the same thing. Their overall look is definitely sharper than most pairs we looked at and if it wasn't for the issues we've had, I wouldn't be giving such a negative review.

Great but doesn't hold up to what is expected

Got these for Christmas in 2015 and just broke my 3rd pair!!!!! Last two were free under their warranty, but they told me this last time they were out of warranty. They always break just above the side adjusters. This time both sides broke simultaneously!!! It's really too bad, because I loved the sound. I will not be purchasing these again until they resolve the issue.
