The unit came with clear directions so installing it was straightforward. And I have been very happy using both the fan and the light. We decided to not use the handheld remote and put the controller where the switch would have been located. No hum, quiet fan blades and a quiet controller - a real novelty when so many devices beep to let you know they are doing something!

I love how sleek, modern and clean it looks.
It is the perfect size for a bedroom and looks great! It also feels very secure upon installation.
The speed options are great and I love how you can adjust the light brightness.
It does have a decent noise level but it doesn't bother me and I actually like it for sleeping.
A couple of reasons why I'm not giving it 5 stars -
The blades. They're cheap plastic material which I didn't expect.
The remote. For such a sleek modern fan, the remote doesn't match at all. It's clunky and outdated looking.

It seems to be made with high quality materials and I expect it to last a very long time. The fan has a remote control which is very convenient. The light is dimmable and the fan has 3 speeds. You can hook the remote up to your existing wall switch and it comes with 2 options for the switch plate cover. Or you can keep the remote as handheld and portable.
