These lights are plastic but they look like metal. So if you keep in mind that they need to be handled more delicately than you would the metal ones, you will do fine placing them. They are bright and I like the pattern of lights that they emit. If you're looking for good lights at a good price, these are your product. Just remember that they are plastic, so be gentle!

I have tried several solar lights. Yes these are still plastic, but a little stronger than others I have tried. I love the glow these lights give. They are bright and the design of the globe makes the light real pretty.

Love these lights

Based on the reviews, I purchased 2 boxes of the Moonrays and placed them around my pool. After 6 hours, the solar lights were still bright!  I am very pleased with my purchase.

Excellent Solar Lighting

On the Con side these lights are all plastic so have to handle with care and the must be placed in direct sunlight to work perfectly. On the Con side, when they light up, the pattern they make on the sidewalk is SO pretty! I keep getting compliments from the neighbors on how beautiful they look when they are lit! I always peek out the window at night to admire them lol.

When I ordered these, I thought the post was metal, from the picture, and when I received them I realized the posts are plastic. I really like them though, so that does not even matter. I like that they are a good height, and I love the pattern of light they create, on the ground. I will look forward to putting them out in the Spring, and am planning on buying one more set. I highly recommend these.

Really nice

I have been using these now for about a week, they are beautiful when lit, but they have to have direct sunlite all day, one of them gets a little less than the others and only lights up for an hr or so, leaving a gapping hole where it should be lit, I have had solar lights in the same area for years, so I think these may be less durable.

Very Nice

My only negative comment is that these are plastic.  They do however look great and put out a light in many different directions.  Meaning it is not a solid light but one that if moving would look like dancing lights.  The clear housing has dimples thus throwing off the light pattern.  For the price it is a great deal.  I hope they last through many seasons.

For the price it's fine. When I was putting them together, I thought there is no way these things are going to last. I've had them for a few weeks, and the illumination design is quite pretty. If the lights don't get a full sun light during the day (I have a partially shaded walkway) the light only lasts an hour or so. But the other ones that get fully charged are so bright it compensates got the ones that don't. I'm happy with them though, bc the price is reasonable.

Pretty lights, flimsy design

These lights are super easy to install. They light up at dusk and stay lit for hours. They do help with path visibility but I still wish they were brighter. The interesting thing is that they make a star light pattern on the ground which I like. Very much worth the money to get some lighting.

I liked all of the above EXCEPT they lit up very brightly for 8 hours the first night but only a brief display of very dim light for about an hour every night since.  Then pitch blackness.  The only thing I can think of is that I live in Illinois and they do not get enough light or sunshine during the day.  I thought about returning them as I only used 3 of the 8 now, but I like the illumination (when they light), the pattern. etc.  so I am going to put them in storage until Spring when we have longer days and hope they will stay illuminated longer then.  Ask me to review again in spring, but definitely would NOT RECOMMEND FOR COLD WEATHER AND SHORTER DAYLIGHT DAYS.
