[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought the doll was really pretty in the ad, but when I received my order I was in awe. She is beautiful! She is so colorful. Her outfit is so cool and is made very well. The doll was also much larger than i had expected, but thats a good thing.

Beautiful doll

Mattel Shop

This is the latest line of Mattel dolls that is a spin off of Monster High. Dolls release without any cartoon story line, I looked since I wanted to verify that the story was good/positive and not dark/sinister. Apparently Monster High characters are the offspring of Monsters and the school does not allow witches (which this new line are). But MH's DracLaura loves to do forbidden witchcraft/spells.

One side note. If you are searching for this Layla Stone doll it is exclusive to Walmart per “You Love It” website! Even Mattel website did NOT advertise that!

So after searching we finally found it. Unfortunately our Walmart store only had LS dolls in packages that were very distorted. After buying 2 on line, I went to the store to find even more packages that had very wavy cardboard to the point the clear plastic coming out! Horrible, all full price too!😡

Luckily the doll not affected by the packaging. She has a shimmery violet jacket, very long violet hair, speggetti strap black dress with pink shimmer designs %26 hemmed with shear black netting. Violet earrings, purple belt and purple/black boots with crystal clusters platform/heels.

Accessories are the purple cauldron with the pop-up moon (when full of water 🤢) with a tiny purple plastic crystal necklace inside, decorative purple hat, matching purse, removable plastic purple crystal under blue clear plastic, non-opened purple crystal book, pink bottle.

The kids showcased LS giving Draculaura instructions for proper use of crystals. Note: clear whitish crystals made from the Smithsonian's grow your own crystals. I broke off a few and clear rubber band it to dolls hands. The MH furniture is DracuLaura's Secret Potion Room tacked on to the side of MH Haunted High School. With lots of potion bottles from HP Mini Verse collection %26 homemade ones. Making for a very elaborate %26 delightful secret room for DL to practice her spells with her latest set of new Moonspell friends! 🥰😘. Enjoy!

Perfect addition for DL Secret Potion Room 🥰😘

I have been watching and waiting forever for these Monster High MoonSpell Magic dolls and they are beautiful ..I ended up purchasing all 5 dolls in the first set..

Monster High MoonSpell Magic Dolls

A very pretty doll with some fun accessories. I personally could do without the cauldron but the rest of the stuff is going to be fun for play and display. I especially enjoy the purse with the star charm. Hat stays on nicely and jacket has a pretty iridescent finish. Hair is shorter than my liking but soft to the touch. Articulation is what one would expect for Monster High G3, always a good thing. Overall satisfied

The prettiest one in my opinion. I lover her makeup, the blue lipstick and silver eyeshadow. I lover her color scheme too, blue and purple. Also, who doesn't love gemstones? Very nice detailed doll for a play doll.
I am a collector though, so mine is staying in box.

This is a doll, for sure. Of all the dolls I have bought at Walmart, this is one of them. This doll is friends with the Monster High kids, but she is not a monster. She is a witch. I think she is so much fun to have Monster High play dates with. Five stars.

This is a Monster High doll

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter was really excited to get this doll. Once we got it out of the box she could not wait to play with it. Unbixing, I've never liked the bits that go into their head to attach it to the box. I always worry I'm going to cut the hair. Thankfully that did not happen though and my daughter couldn't wait to play with her. She is stunning and all the little accessories are super cute. We were slightly disappointed in the cauldron because we thought itd do a little more, but no major complaints. Plus, I love the witchy vibes. I'm a spooky girl at heart raising a bubble gum pink princess so this doll is a really cute blend of that.

Absolutely love the theme of these dolls.

Ok so I love this doll, she's very adorable
However
Mattel has been using this sort of weird silicone for their doll hands as of late, and I've noticed it again on her. This is a problem as while these hands are *meant* to be softer so that little hands have an easier time removing them to undress/redress the doll, in practice this material is:
Fragile (prone to tearing off the wrist joints)
Easily absorbs dirt and grime
And while Layla specifically is unlikely to suffer from it, this material is known to discolor on lighter/fantasy skintones. Hopefully they switch back to the old hand material soon

Cute doll, *but*

The doll is cute and I like the colors. That being said, the hair looks like it was cut with a blender. I've been collecting Monster High since they first came out, and the cost has skyrocketed while the quality has gotten worse. Like the others in this series, the knees are loose and the cauldron insert has to be glued to stay up for display. And, for the price, why are there no stands? Since the Birthday series, I find these dolls to be disappointing in person after the professional photos and hype that goes with them prior to going on sale.

Cute, but . . .

Don't lift the cauldron lid until the surprise is removed. The surprise can easily slip beneath the lid and be lost inside forever! What a horrible design!!!!

Mostly great with a flaw
