I use it for melting snow works better than rock salt and the price is a lot cheaper than rock salt 40 lb

My Pool uses salt not chemicals. My water is crystal clear. No issues and this is our 2nd year. The first year a friend told us to but it at Walmart for the lowest price and he was right. But getting help to locate it in the store was a difficult no one knew what I was talking about. So this year I ordered it online and picked up at the store to save time. It saved some time but still was some issues at pick up

Pool Salt

I converted to a salt water pool last year and haven't looked back! I use Morton because it was told to me that it desolves easily, reducing pool downtime which is EXTREMELY important in my house! I haven't tried others, but it works beautifully so why change? Love it and so.do.the the kids!!

great stuff!

Wal-Mart $6, pool store $20. A little bit of work on my part hauling it from the car to the pool (WalMart loaded it into my car! yay!). But I bought 12 bags...you do the math. Serious savings. And it's a great product...dissolved fast. My only gripe is that I think I bought my store's entire inventory! Stock up Walmart...you could sell a LOT more if you had more. I came back for three more bags and you were out.

Excellent! Save yourself some serious cash!

I ordered this on line and when I went to pick it up at the store it was $.50 a bag less at the store. I payed $6.38 on line and it was $5.82 at the store. I saw the store display while waking back to pick up my order or I would have payed a 10% penalty for buying on line.
The salt worked great in my pool .

Every year my in-ground pool chlorine generator needs additional pool salt. I've always purchased this from Wal-Mart. I order on-line then pick it up at the local store where it the 40lb bags are loaded in my trunk. The price and service are great.

The Morton Salt dissolves easily and cleanly into the pool. The handle on the bag is very helpful in lifting and moving the bags.

Great way to order swimming pool salt

Great product, fast dissolve, not a huge fan of the tear away corner as my pool is above ground and I did lose some to spillage, once all over me vs the pool.  5 bags got my salinity to the proper level and I am looking forward to the season, hopefully the testing bears out a quality flow of chlorine.

Great dissolve, great value

LOTS of undissolved rocks that did not appear ti be salt. I applied the second bag through a pillow case and there was like a cup of gray rocks left, i vacuumed up the rocks after the first application. Disappointed and don't plan to purchase this brand again.

I was kind of disappointed this time.  2 of the 4 bags were rock hard.  The bags looked beaten and old and 1 was ripped.  I like the product just fine and will buy again one more time.  If I have the same experience next time I'll start to buy elsewhere.  An honorable shout out to the girl who helped me at 'pick-up' it wasn't her department and she just jumped right in when I asked for someone quickly because I had frozen groceries in the car!!!

Quality going down over the years - this years bunch was the worse of all!

i've been purchasing these for my pool for over 12 years now and it's gone up quite a bit in price but quality has been trending down during this time - the latest bags were brown and polluted my pool when i twas finally used but check your bags  are the online grocery pickup ok

I usually buy Morton Professional's Choice Pool Salt from Home Depot and have always been happy with it—dissolves cleanly and never causes any issues. But these 40 lb. bags from Walmart were a letdown. After adding the salt to my pool, I noticed a gritty, sand-like substance settling at the bottom where the salt was laid out. I'm not sure how it got mixed in, but it definitely wasn't pure salt. It took extra time to vacuum out all the residue before the pool could be usable again. For the price, I expected the same quality I get from Home Depot, but this batch felt contaminated. I'll stick to buying from my usual source in the future.
