We prefer the fact it has no camera because it feels safe knowing no one else could tap in and see our child. We only need to hear them and being able to clearly hear them all through the night is great! Any time they wake up crying I hear it instant because the sound quality is amazing. Setting it up was pretty simple just put it close to your child's bed and plug it in. I put the receiver near my bed so I can have it close by me at night but I can also use it when I'm in any room of the house even outside! It definitely gives me peace of mind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially intended to use this baby monitor for my newborn. Unfortunately (fortunately?) she is strapped to my body 23.5 hours a day, so I never have anything to monitor. Which is how I discovered that the Motorola PIP11 Audio Baby Monitor is absolutely ideal for toddler naps. My three year old doesn't need constant sleep supervision, nor do I need the stress of watching her do weird toddler things (magic spells, book stacking, semi-interpretive dance) via a video baby monitor while she should be resting. An audio baby monitor is a perfect middle ground. I can hear her sing the Paw Patrol theme until she drifts off and I know she's awake once I hear the Paw Patrol theme again. Setup is a breeze-the most difficult part was me assuming I needed to connect to Bluetooth and being delighted to find that I instead just needed to plug both monitors in. The instruction page illustrating the button functions is not the most helpful thing I've ever used, but they are thankfully pretty straightforward. The Motorola PIP11 Audio Baby Monitor is a simple, no-frills baby monitor that keeps a parent informed about what is happening without being paranoid about it. If your older baby or toddler is in a baby proofed room you trust, you really can't beat it.

Fantastic for Toddlers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So we loved this baby monitor until it stopped working. I got this for free to test and review. Set it up immediately and it worked perfectly! I could hear my munchkin and he could hear me. It was the perfect set up, until it fell over. I bumped the dresser it was set on, it fell on the floor then stopped working. Tried everything to fix it but it's like the wires got a short cause it sounds garbled now. Bummed it stopped working but loved it when it did work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to use. It charges fairly quickly and holds a great charge. I can still hear clearly even at the back of my yard. It is on the more quiet side. That's really the only downfall for me. The cord that needs to be plugged in is plenty long to set it down. The two way works perfectly. And the lullabies are pleasant as well.

Eventually all 4 toggle buttons ceased to function. Never worked well in the beginning, had to repeatedly press the toggle pad(4 functions and 4 buttons) to get results. Sound p/u and transmission was great. Too bad the buttons were of inferior quality. Unit lasted 2 months. Cheap junk parts.
