Easy to install. Can program easily after installing chargeable batteries. It would be nice if unit connected to Bluetooth. This would give you an option of adjusting times on your cell phone.

Solar kits for Moultrie directional feeder.

MOULTRIE

I was extremely happy to see this unit will lock right onto my legacy Moultrie feeder. I didn't even have to use the included Quick-Lock adapter. The instructions to program the unit could be more thorough. It's confusing to work through one screen and then advance to the next. Eventually, most people will figure it out, but there's room for improvement in the instructions. Secondly, the feeder lacks power, even on the "Hi" speed setting. I'm using it for a fish feeder alongside my small pond. Even with two of the tripod's feet practically in the water, too much feed falls underneath the feeder. . . not making it to the water. Designing longer blades for the spinner would likely help with this.

(Needs) MORE POWER!

The actual feeder in operation is working. Setting the timer was very complex to me and it took a contractor friend familiar with timers like this from dock building jobs to set it up and it took him several minutes. Need to go back in and adjust feeding duration and add a couple more cycles because this unit does not put out the corn like the originsl timer that came with the 350# tripod feeder. The deer tore that timer off the feeder twice when it ran dry!

I use it as a fish feeder and it works but just doesn't throw very far!

Directional feeder

Useless

Really bad design, lock on is good idea, but heavy rain allows water to run down into motor and clogs with nasty residue putty.

Not a good design

Moultrie feeder motors are disposable. I have went through 6 quick lock feeder motors feeding 1-2x a day the past year.

Terrible

Installed on a 5 gallon bucket, if I put more than 2" of corn in the bucket it will not dispense. Reinstalled the old feeder using the same battery and it works properly
