Received mine a couple of weeks ago. I bought this one so that I would have adequate space to position my 17" laptop in the center, and have a monitor on each side. I purchased a Seville Classics AIRLIFT 33" Electric Standing Desk Converter (also at Sam's Club) to go with it.

Setup was fairly straightforward, the biggest challenge being getting the monitors onto the arms - second only to setting the tension in the joints such that you can adjust positions without knocking everything over or having the base slide around; or having things so loose that a bump can upset your arrangement. Still tweaking that now, a couple of weeks later (but I'm pretty picky about such things). Tension is adjusted by removing (prying off - these have a tenacious grip!) the joint dress-cover, and using either a crescent/box wrench or the provided Allen wrench to loosen or tighten the bolt through the joint. If I recall correctly, the joints that move the monitors horizontally require the Allen wrench, and the joints that allow the monitors to pivot at the end of the arms require a wrench.

The height of the monitors relative to the base is set by removing two Phillips bolts from the collar the arms and center mount are attached to, sliding the collar up or down to align with two new threaded holes on the post, then reinstalling the bolts. This is easier said than done once you have the monitors mounted on the arms, but is not so difficult that you cannot do it by yourself (having a helper makes it a LOT easier, though!). The center monitor mount has a leadscrew assembly to raise or lower it relative to the arms in order to align all three monitors (again: I'm not using that center position). Each of the monitor mounts can be rotated to position the monitor in landscape or portrait orientation (or anything in between, I guess) making the stand equally effective for graphical and numerical work; or word-processing/text layout work. The arms cannot be independently set high/low - keep this in mind if you'd like one monitor out of the three in portrait - the centers of the monitors align, not the bottoms or the tops. Since I never position a monitor differently than its neighbors, this aligned-center arrangement works perfectly well for me.

The stand can be used with it's weighted horse-shoe base, but, though not mentioned on the Sam's Club site, there's a bonus! It also comes with a reinforcement plate that allows it to be mounted directly to the desktop via a 10 mm hole (that you have to drill). In the picture, I have it on the AIRLIFT desk using its base. Once I have more experience with this setup, I'll probably drill the hole and mount it using the plate to reduce the weight on the lift table (it has a 33 lb limit, which I suspect I'm mildly exceeding...).

In my circumstance, it would be great if the center monitor mount was removable. This would allow me to move the laptop further aft, closer to the post. This is not a show stopper, and I specifically ordered the three-monitor stand, so it is not their problem! (I'm an engineer. I'll find a way.) It would also be nice if there were an after-market clamp assembly that could be mounted to the post allowing it to be clamped to a desk rather than using the stand or drilling holes, but again: they're pretty clear about how it mounts.

Overall, I am happy with this purchase, and would definitely recommend it!

Perfect for what I needed

Samsclub.com

I returned it. It could not stand up while holding just two monitors. It was bending forward.
