Great Kiosk

I bought this item to use in our mobile store, which will vend at fairs and events.  It *looks* like it will sit on the counter and the be able to be packed away for travel, but no:  The base wants to be screwed to a counter-top permanently to be stable.  The description saying it rotates is also misleading - Every other stand I looked at that said it rotates meant that it will turn left to right.  This stand DOES NOT rotate or pivot left to right.  It faces one set direction only.  "Rotate" for this item means you can change the orientation of the screen from portrait to landscape (vertical to horizontal), and "pivot" means it will face straight up or angle downward to 75 degrees. With our system, this is to be the complete register, so the cashier will be inputting the order, then turning it to face the customer for confirmation and signature.  This stand will not do that.

That said, if you need a stationary stand that doesn't turn, the quality on this is quite good.  It's heavy metal construction and feels solid.  Only the collar that hides the screws around the base of the arm is plastic - Everything else is metal.  It includes padded tape strips to hold the ipad safely in place, and fit the new 2018 model just fine.
