I bought 2. Both motion lights work well. when originally tested the lights came on in the light after original test would only light up if about 70% Darkness when motion is detected.The LED lights are brighter than expected. Motion detector picks up at about a 25 foot diameter . Did notice a difference in how long the lights stay on when no motion is detected. One is about 18 seconds the other about 35 seconds. Was easy to install, installs almost anywhere. I did not have a problem with the screws as others had described. I did pre drill the holes with a 1/32" drill bit. The unit seemed to be sealed well. I put a wide rubber band around where the light comes apart to ensure no moisture gets in. Something the manufacturer may want to consider including as its very easy and inexpensive way to ensure the seal remains dry in the wettest and coldest weather. Have had them installed since 07/08/2014. Have been through some very heavy rains already. So far no battery drain is noticeable, lights remain bright .

I purchased for a friend who wanted to mount inside a window near her front door but it does not work through the glass. We mounted it outside and are hoping someone doesn't just take it. But the item works great where it is and is very bright.

Love that it only comes on when it's dark and how bright it is. Very happy

Very nright

These are easy to get started. Add 4 batteries (D Alkaline). They are automatic and no switches are needed. I have one on the deck by the back door and one inside. When the light detects motion it is on. Very bright. Goes off after a while, but gives you enough time to turn on other lights or unlock doors. A heavy unit.

Great motion lights

Gives plenty of light, easy to install, uses 4 D batteries which I happened to have. But it only activates for 30 seconds, which is not long enough. Can't adjust the activation time. Sometimes it takes 5 seconds or more to reactivate. Looks OK. 4 stars but will give it 5 stars so more people will read review.

Let there be light!

These lights work great if you know where to mount them. The motion sensor that is used with Mr. Beams and many motion lights is designed to put out a beam that works best if you walk across the beam. So, if you mount this spotlight in a spot that people walk straight at it, the light will turn on but not until you are close to the light - about 10 feet. Again, do yourself a favor and position it where someone walks left to right or at the best angle you can that isn't walking right at the light. The sensors really detect well from the sides.

MB380 Spotlight

Ideal unit if No Outlet avail. to plus or Wire one Into..

If you don't have a hard Wiring Outlet for a Reg. MS Light, these are Great
and alot cheaper than Hiring a Electrictian to WIre One In.. ( Min $75 )

And If you Screw them on into a Stud., should be difficult to steal it
And can even use Anchor Bolts for more security to the wall.

Just like to see them use AA or 9 Volt Lithium Batteries instead.

They don't have D Lithium Batteries out yet..

For More WaterProofing the case? Try White Duct Tape on the white one and Black Duct tape on the Black one.. That's what we did and does fine.. You can also use some silacone sealer around the seals/Joints.. if that is a concern. Or can find or cut a Rubber Seal and adapt that for the battery case..

For inside use, we use the Single LED
For Outdoor, we use the Double LED ..

and sorry it 's not cheaper than a Hard Wire one for Electricity..
$10 worth of D Batteries
would pay for 75 KW of Elec. = 76,000 watts of use
That would last at least 20 yrs..using a LED Light bulb.

Great if Don't have Hard Wiring Outlet

It has a short range of lighting, not as strong as a normal security flood light, but is adequate for our needs. The fact that it uses 4 D batteries makes installation simple . . . no wiring. It's bright and focused in the very close vicinity . . .about 25 feet. I plan to purchase another.

The light motion works well easy to install. I expected a brighter light.

Motion sensing LED

Returning it to store. The battery compartment will not close when batteries are installed. I was using rechargeable D Cell batteries that appear to be the exact dimensions of any D cell battery but after trouble shooting it and making slight adjustments it still would not latch on both sides. I paid $22 for it and if it worked probably would be a fair price but I see they went up to twice that in price and it would definitely not be worth $40 to $50 even if it worked flawlessly.
