This product goes down two or three generations in my family. My mother always used Murphys also soap as a mild product to mop her wooden floors. I use it on my floors and woodwork because it doesn't harm them, but I use it for something that none of my family ever used it for I'm an artist And I do painting. I've always use Murphy's soul soap to clean my brushes because it gets that pain out and also it doesn't harm the brushes.

This is an excellant product.  There is no resudue or scrubbing necessary.  It made my entire apartment sparke, and the smell is grear.  It brought me back to childhood.  I love the fact that the extra mop I bought to clean the residue was unneccary because there is no residue.

It doesn't get any better than Murphy's! It's great for cleaning all around the house. Favorite use is for paint brushes. Had some old hardened paint brushes. Even after a month, Murphy's saved the brushes! Just soak in undiluted Murphy's overnight. Comb out the brushes. Re-soak  and comb until no paint remains and rinse clean. Save the remaining used paint soak in a tight jar. It's completely reusable.

Best paint brush cleaner ever

The wooden floors in my apartment building are 111 years old.  My apartment building was built in 1914 and Murphy's Oil Soap began in 1910.
Murphy's Oil Soap does a wonderful job in cleaning and conditioning wood floors , furniture and surfaces.

Old Fashioned Ways Are The Best!

I own an ebony black piano which is real wood that has been painted.  I find that Murphys Oil Soap to clean it periodically. and dry it off as I go.  It works great and protects my piano.

This is it right here! I have been using this probably wrong for as long as I can remember. I wash the floor , walls. Everything if in a quick clean! I even spray in the air near the door way to give that impressions of the cleanest home ever. 
There is nothing like it!

Gun oil for your home

Cleans well, without a chemical smell. I have respiratory issues so I'm not interested in any strong chemical smells or heavy perfume smells.  It has in fact a soft pleasant smell. I dilute this about 50% so it last me quite a bit. I use it on my porcelain floors. I'm just about anything that doesn't require glass cleaning. I recommend.

We recently bought a home with all wood floors. I won't trust any other cleaner for wood. Its all natural and safe to use around our pets and our grandkids. Mix some with water in a spray bottle and you can safely clean just about every where in your home. Its also great for treating laundry spots and even as a laundry detergent. I don't really use any other cleaning products around our home except for a disinfectant and of course a generic glass cleaner ( dont use oil soap on your windows or mirrors). Bonus is that it has a wonderful light clean scent because of the citronella oil in it.

Classic Cleaning Product

My Mother used Murphy Oil when I was a child.  As an Adult I too use it.  This makes your hardwood floors keep that gloss and shine.  Your home will also have a pleasant smell.  I love Murphy Oil and wouldn't  trade it for anything else.  I use it in the bathroom on everything except the mirrors.  Give it a try.  You will love it too.

Both of my grandmothers, my Mom, my aunts, and most of the ladies of their generations whose homes we visited when I was a kid, used Murphy Oil Soap to clean their floors, and today we men have - finally! - joined their intelligent ranks. 

That's too much cleaning history from the smartest people I knew for that knowledge to be wrong, so when I got my first place after moving away from home to go to university, of
course I bought Murphy Oil Soap to clean my own floors.

Now I' m retired myself and I still use it because NOTHING cleans my floors better or safer.

The scent is the same as I remember from my own childhood and takes me back to my grandmothers' homes where the other grandkids and I crawled around on freshly mopped floors. Floors that had been mopped with Murphy Oil Soap because our grandmothers - and their kids, our parents - trusted nothing else to clean the floors their loved ones would later play on.

When guests who aren't familiar with the scent of Murphy Oil Soap come to our home and notice the clean, warm scent, they ask and I tell them this same history.

Later, I often notice when going to their homes the same clean, warm scent, and I feel good that someone new to Murphy Oil Soap has started their own tradition with it because Murphy Oil Soap is one of those few products that have so perfectly survived the rigorous scrutiny and demands of scrupulously clean homes wherein safe, reliable, cost effective, beloved products live and thrive.

Murphy Oil Soap is the only cleaner I need for our wood floors and wooden furniture.

The best!

Back in the 1990's I would mix liquid Murphy oil soap with turpentine to clean my oil paint brushes.  Mixing the liquid soap with turpentine would generate a thick paste that could clean the gunk off of most anything.  I have never been able to make it since then; coincidentally that was when colgate-palmolive took over and changed the formula.  I recently tried it again, and it just turned into a useless milky white liquid.  I know turpentine hasn't changed so the only logical conclusion is that colgate must have done something to the original formula, or severely watered it down.

Please bring back the old formula.
