My kids love this game! They get to watch their adults compete over them, and act silly. It's been great for expanding my 5 year old's guessing skills and getting her to practice figuring out how many syllables a word has (she lets us know if a word has too many now as well), all while giggling madly.

Exploding Kittens

My family loved this game! It was easy enough that 5-year-old could play and contribute to the team and not just sit there while his older brother and sister gave all the answers. Sticking to the one-syllable rule was still challenging for my husband and me; we got too much joy in calling each other out if we messed up. There was a lot of laughter throughout the game and it isn't something that is painful to play over and over with our kids like a lot of other games for their age. I also loved that my kids were on a team and working together and all won. It really is a win-win-win game.

Fun for Adults and Kids!

This game is super fun and easy to play. It manages to let everyone feel like a winner, and work together, and on top of that, served as reading practice for our 1st/2nd graders in a way that they thought was fun. And they thought it was really funny having to come up with creative ways to explain something. We will be packing this with us on an upcoming family trip for sure.

Really funny

We loved this so much. Shhhh don't tell the humans (kids) they always win! As parents, I mean martians, competing for second place, losing has never been more fun. My kids love playing this game together against the parents and ask and ask to play over and over. The packaging for kittens games are always amazing but this new round of games is even better.

Amazingly fun to lose!

One things for sure, after playing this game I really don't know who (or what) I am anymore. Turn the tables and be the one with the poor speech and language skills rather than your kiddo for once. Wonderful time!

Am I A Martian?

This is a fun "guessing" game for kids, including young kids! My 4 year old loved that she was able to guess the words on the card all by herself! The words on the cards are simple enough for young and older kids to be able to guess, and there aren't many instructions or wait-your-turn time, so there's minimal frustrations. While there isn't much strategy to the game, the kids are using their thinking skills!Also, I just want to note that we, the adults, found the 1-syllable word rule to be very difficult, slowed down the game, and made us very tired adults have to think way too much! Also, my 4 year old didn't understand the connection with parents being martians. She thought we sounded more like a robot, and kept asking when were we going to act like martians. So, we dropped that rule, which sped up the game and made it much more fun. Lastly, we didn't understand the purpose of the megaphone, other than it just being a gimmick, as it has nothing to do with martians. My kid liked playing with it (gimmick), but it's made of paper, so I don't expect it to last very long. Overall, it's a fun, quick game to get the kids thinking and being proud of themselves.

Fun "guessing" game for kids!

It was fun and easy to learn. Everyone was involved. Our kids are 8, 10, 13, 15. After the second round, the kids wanted to give the clues. They took their own turn and did great. Would suggest to allow all players to give clues. We also changed it so that anyone on the human team can guess. This probably works better when the youngest is 8 (versus only 4). Those are the two main tweaks we made to the game to make it better from our perspective.

Good but can be better

I think my children (7,8,& 10) were a little too old for this game, but it is a great introduction to "Taboo"-like games for little kids age 3-6. We had friends over and played with their 35 year old, and he LOVED the game so much, especially getting to be the one who announces the guess in the megaphone. It's a sweet "kids always win" game for preschoolers!

Cute game for littles!

This is just another version of Neanderthal poetry with a setup that could work for kids. Honestly, I've already introduced my kids to Neanderthal poetry, so this game was kind of a letdown. However, if you've never played Neanderthal poetry, you might enjoy this.

In general, I would say that it is too young for the children in my household. The youngest is 7 and the oldest 14 with 3 in between. They quickly realized that they would win automatically.We own poetry for Neanderthals and they enjoy that one as they know they can lose or win based on performance.They mentioned that this was a 'kid version" of PFN.
