The Velvet Matte Lip Pencils are a STAPLE in my pro artist kit. I've had them for years. They are quite literally one of my ride or die products. They are ALWAYS the first product I reach for when doing lips and they are perfect for sanitizing and having in the set bag without mess.

This lip pencil is absolute perfection. I've been wearing this color in this pencil form for years and receive compliments every single time I have it on. I am very upset that Nars change the formula to this perfect pencil in matte. The "NEW" pencils that came out this year are HORRID. They dry your lips. The formula is similar to that of their lip glosses. Simply horrible. I do not know why they changed it. If they ever make them like this one again I'll buy. But I'm not buying the new ones.

I've ordered several of these lip pencils and I like them very much. Easy to use and go on smoothly with just enough moisture so no goopy feeling ...just right !!

Just enough color ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect color for me. I like something a bit more natural-looking. These are quality pencils. They are highly pigmented. Easy to apply. The color lasts a long time. They are a little drying so I usually apply a tiny bit of my Burt Bee's over the top. Buy Nars for the color--can't go wrong. They never look 'off' like some make-up does. Nice to pack for small purses. Happy customer.

Finally a perfect shade of red that works for me! (Dragon Lady) Beautiful pigmentation, and easy to apply. Has great staying power that lasts even after eating and drinking with minimal needs to reapply. Occasional I dabbed on a little bit of lip gloss for a softer look to changed it up from the matte finished look. Will try other colors. Highly recommended it.

Dragon Girl NEVER disappoints

I love the color and feel of this pencil. Not sure what happened, but before I even needed to sharpen it, the tip broke way in the pencil. I had to sharpen so much, I feel like I lost half the pencil!

Beautiful but be careful!

I love the glide and coverage with this lip pencil. I was off of what the true color- coral instead of a plum I thought I purchased. The color was not what I thought I wanted but I use it as an undertone and mix with another color. I've always loved this product and will definitely buy again.
