Graphics

i love nascar but this game is not well put together and not a long lasting game, yes the graphics and physics are amazing but the season mode is nothing as good as 06 was or 04. i recommend just renting this game a couple time just to get all of the achievements if u cant get it all the first time through but there are so many bugs in this game and poorly put together

Very disappointed. I waited for it to go on sale,and yet still feel as though I over paid.This game was highly anticipated to be the best game out of the NASCAR series to date.If it werent for the improved graphics it would be the worst released! Every year and sometimes every other year EA games has made nice strides in the NASCAR series to make improvements and add interesting new ideas for better gameplay.On NASCAR 08 they REALLY dropped the ball!

In 05 there was the CHASE edition in which they added allies and rivals. You could be a hero or villan and work with other drivers accordingly during the race.Nascar 06 total team control edition. You could switch between other cars on your team during the race to help ensure your whole team had a good finish.Those are just the main things they added to different editions as they progressed toward a better and better game each year.There were also salaries,hiring your own crew by experience and cost,getting contracts with other teams and starting from the bottom at the featherlite modified series.Working your way threw the ranks according to your performance in each class threw the seasons.There were also victory lane screenplays and drivers looked very close to the real driver in there celebration.Also the signing autographs for fans got harder as you got more fans.Garages could be updraded to help your car perform better on the track.

ALL of this information I just described is some of the things that made NASCAR fun and playable for the gamer.However ALL of the things I just described are NOT in NASCAR 08! In fact they went backwards on the development of the game.Everything seems so thrown together and doesnt make ANY sense.There are NO trophys contracts or goals you can reach to make it playable.To unlock cars for your owner mode they have it so you drive in a different race at tracks you need a car for like Kurt Bucsh,Kasey kahne,Ryan Newman,and Elliot Sadler's rides. Like the real owners of those teams would let ANYONE take there place in the middle of there contracts.Then if you meet the goal for that race in there car YOU GET THERE CAR FOR YOUR GARAGE?!?!? Unrealistic to say the least.

Every part of this game FAILED MISERABLEY! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. In EA's semi-defense the only thing I can think of is they had to remake an entirely new game for the 360 and just threw something together for that console,they also released it far to early in JULY 07.They really should have waited until the usual release date of September or October.Heck I would waited till Christmas for a better game.This thing they released should have never made it out the door.
One can only hope they know what a mess this game is and outdo themselves for 09,because if its anything like 08 it will be the first time since the NASCAR series first started that I will simply refuse to buy anything of that quality again.

I'll be generous and give it 1 star just for the better graphics,Everything else in the game isnt worthy of a rating.

Dropped the Ball

I found this game to not be very exciting because you have to be 13 to play online. Nascar 08 is very hard too. On easy, I can't even place in the top 30! The crashes are amazing, which gives the game 2 stars!!!!!! I do not recommened this game for people under 13. It is not very fun!

The Review of Nascar 08

I have purchased every nascar game title dating back to the 98 season and this by far is the worst. The graphics are stunning but the game play is horrible. The game manual gives little to no insight on the set up or effects of the advanced settings. Hopefully EA will retune and refine this disaster for next year, until then save your money and stick with an older version.

Wait till next year

I recommend this game for any race fan out there, their is so many improvments on this game than expected. 3-D burn outs after a win, Highpact 3-D accidents, It's so many things done to this game I love it and you will too.

Best racing ever

The game could have had more paint schemes, the damage realism could have been better but the car setups are realistic and the graphics are good, create a car could have been better but otherwise it is good but i wouldnt reccomend buying.....
