Brilliant router, bought it because network providers router an amzaon eero wasn't that great and can't seperate 2.5ghz and 5ghz its only set to auto which was no good and no wifi in back garden a lot of the time so took the plunge with this router and it has been awesome, can seperate the frequencies set up was a breeze keeping my ssid and password as on old router so no need to reconnect everything which was perfect. The app is great too. Love the router constant high speed a little higher than old router too. Fully recommend this router.

Easy to set up out of the box. Connect with the app, and program the name and password so there was very little difficulty to replace the older router.

Upgraded old netgear router to take advantage of faster internet service with more stable connection

I bought this device along with the CM1200 for it's Wi Fi 6 capability as an upgrade from the Nighthawk AC1900 (which was spectacular for Wi Fi 5 purposes).

Game changer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does pretty well.  At one point it locked everything due to a password glitch.  We had it on 2 keychains but neither worked that morning.  Tried to reset around 10 times and it just recycles back to the "Change password" page.  Called tech (hard to find that #) nice guy and he did something and it went through to a new password first try.  No explanation as to why/how but it has worked ever since.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's working alright , so far good although I'm still a little concerned with the whole privacy and hacking security risk I can still fall victim too , I hope NETGEAR protects my privacy from outside threats or rough isp techs .

Purchased hoping for better coverage than rented router ( that I didn't know I was renting) and this did not disappoint.
Only complaint was connecting to modem that took some time with a very patient netgear tech.

Upgrade over Spectrum

The operating instructions were a joke. No idea what all the lights blinking or solid meant.  Major problem entering profile info.  Would not let me enter my name thus could not finish the profile.  Should be simple set up but with all the issues took an hour.

Needs better information for installation

Be very careful, Netgear's site neglected to mention which operating system their routers are compatible with.  The router they sent me is compatible with windows 11, if they had mentioned that I wouldn't have bought it I have windows 7 and windows 10 so I didn't even bother opening it.

Compatibility problem

It doesn't work.  I have an internet service where I have to sign into a provider first, and I can't do that with this router.
