Windstream was charging me $10 per month to rent their Gigaset modem. I bought this after others said it would work with my ISP. The setup was easy using the Genie program on the enclosed CD. Windstream required no username or password. They connect you based on your phone number.  The modem worked so well that I ordered a second modem as a backup. Both will be paid for in 10 months based on the old modem's rental charge. The speed is very good, and every bit as fast as the old Windstream modem.

I had tried other Brand Name modems & had lots of trouble with them. This Netgear Modem is by far the easiest one to hook up. I had to call my ISP to help me because I have A DSL connection. But they walked me through it without any trouble at all.
I would recommend it to anyone who has DSL.

Good DSL Modem

I've had several different Modems but this Netgear product out shines them all. As I said previously, this product is great for your home or your business. I would recommend it to anyone I know and I'm not much for sticking my neck out for any product or person. The device is extremely compact but works like a giant.

OUTSTANDING MODEM

I have a seperate wireless and modem. I had the wireless okay but I had to program the modem. Tech support walked me right through it. Have 90 days to get it operating with no tech charge.

I tried a different modem, would not connect to Windstream service. From the time I read the instructions until it was connected it took about 5 to 10 minutes. Has been working great.

Works with Windstream

This product so far is working for what it is. Much Much better than the Actiontec.... I repeat do not get the Actiontec. It doesn't work at all!!! The Netgear is so much better and it works with my Centurylink account just fine.

Good Product

i guess its working ok. the biggest problem ive had since i started using this modem is that when i get up every morning my wifi is out and i have to reboot the modem. after that everything works fine, until the next morning anyway. very frustrating and inconvenient.

The filter and phone splitter slowed down the speed.  With as much static as was on the phone without the filter I didn't try the internet with out it.

okay,  it worked

I had purchased Netgear products twice before and was satisfied. I could not get this modem to work. I spent over an hour on the telephone with Netgear support and they couldn't either. But I don't believe that their support knows their equipment very well, they could only give me script type answers and when the script didn't work, they didn't know what to do. Really not a good experience. I returned the product.
