I was alerted by Netgear that my previous router had reached its end of service so I looked for a new router. I found this one which was quick and simple to setup. So far its signal has been stronger than the previous router.

Simple Upgrade

Description: I've had my previous router for over 5 years before it went kaput. Since I've used the Netgear nighthawk I decided to stick with a brand I'm familiar with %26 it was a quick remedy to replacing my router.

Netgear nighthawk never disappoints

I'm glad I stumbled with this NightHawk AX4 Wi-Fi router and I am never been happier. It's Fast and more reliable WiFi connection that upgrade to WiFI 6 that allows more 6 devices to connect and stream simultaneously. Also I love that it's easy to manage especially if you have kids using the internet because you can pause the internet on your connected devices and manage your kid's exposure and time online on their devices too! How cool is that!

Fast more reliable internet connection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The router was easy to set up. I immediately turned on AX, OFDMA on both ratios. I tried all three 160MHz-capable channels, 36, 100 and 149. I was amazed to immediately see 2.4Gbps on my WIFI NIC and my entire 500Mbsp internet coming through. My Trendnet AC2600 has peaks of 70MBps (700+Mbps). Those two routers are separate dual 2.4 and 5GHz routers but this is a mighty AX router it should be from 50% to 3-times faster. I was not disappointed. I tried turning off throughput booster and packet coalescing on the NIC wand had great improvement. I have had a minor issue getting WIFI to connect to some devices, primarily a Smart TV, after a bit of tweaking it was simply a matter of having the smart TV forget the original wireless setting and then connecting with the Night Hawk WIFI. The Router functions Via CAT 5E are excellent. Overall the Night Hawk Router  offers outstanding speeds and coverage. It is a great router for the price, easy setup for the non professional user, and offers outstanding features for the more advanced users. This Router simply cannot be beat for the price. I highly recommend it both for the novice home user and professionals!

A Great Router For The Price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow...impressive.  This router is amazing.  I can get a signal outside my home almost 300 feet away.  It was easy to install and provides great signal from one end of the house to the other.  We can stream on all the devices in the home with no lag or issues. Two of us work from home and even with both of us working it doesn't affect the streaming on the devices for anyone else in the home.  We have 2 TVs, 2 Computers, 2 Tablets and 4 phones and they can all stream, surf the web, or work at the same time with no lag in our connection at all.  It even comes with one year of free security software.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Netgear Nighthawk AX4 AX3000 Wi-Fi Router with Wi-Fi 6 capability is a decent router.  Netgear is a trusted name when it comes to routers and networking.  The Nighthawk brand has been around for years now and is associated with powerful signal transmission.  Netgear is now providing their customers with a wide range of Nighthawk routers, each providing different levels of signal strength and of bandwidth range.  This AX4 AX3000 router says it can handle incoming Wi-Fi speeds of up to 3Gbps, which is more than the majority of consumers need.  It has a powerful quad-core processor for faster performance.  It is equipped with 4 Gigabyte Ethernet ports on the back to connect via a wired connection.  As with most new routers, this AX4 AX3000 Nighthawk is dual band.  The 2.4GHz channel can broadcast up to 600Mbps and the 5 GHz channel up to 2.4Gbps.  Of course all these specifications are under the perfect environment.  I was not impressed with the AX4's ability to reach my downstairs connections.  We have a small house with an half finished basement that is nowhere near 2,000 sq. ft.  The router signal doesn't have to go through any concrete walls, but we have experienced low signals with every single access point router we have ever tried.  Only a "whole home" or mesh router system has been efficient in broadcasting a sufficient signal strength downstairs.  That being said,  this AX4 should be great for larger single story apartments or medium sized single story homes.  But, if you have a large home or a two story apartment or home, this router will likely be insufficient in providing a strong signal to all parts of your dwelling.  I will say that I have had some connection issues even with my mesh router system, but I have yet to see this with the Netgear Nighthawk AX4.  Most likely this is due Netgear giving their customers the option of deselecting the auto channel feature in the router settings and dedicating a single channel for transmitting both the 2GHz and 5GHz frequencies.  I like that option and it is one of the important features I consider when purchasing a router or mesh router system.  KUDOS Netgear!  Another great perk of Netgear routers is the 1 year of free Netgear Armor router security!  This firewall stops intruders at the router and doesn't allow them to infect your devices!  As for the Wi-Fi 6 compatibility, also a feature in most if not all new routers, this makes the AX4 future proof for quite a while.  Not many devices are Wi-Fi 6 compatible right now, but more and more will be.  Again, not the best router, but not bad either.  Sufficient for many setups and capable of high internet speeds.  Would recommend for single level dwellings unless they are enormous.

Decent router

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] By ordering this NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK AX 3000 AX4 WiFi Router, I was hoping to accomplish two things…
I currently have the modem/router combination provided by Xfinity, and it gets REALLY hot. It also takes my new TV unreasonably long to connect to WiFi via my current setup. I had hoped that ordering a new modem and router would resolve both of these problems, so… I paired this with a Hitron CODA DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem. However…
I am tech savvy. I'm the one everyone in my family comes to when they have computer or tech problems lol, but try as I might, I could not get this router working. I downloaded the app and I tried everything. I spent hours troubleshooting and following every suggested solution, over and over again. I finally gave up.
I really wish I could offer a better review because I had great hopes for this new setup. :-(

Couldn't get it working

I could not recommend this router.  After installation, I attempted to go through the app and delete devices that no longer existed.  There was an option for it but I was told it didn't work on my model.  Then within a day or so I was able to remove a couple of devices before it stopped working again.  I was advised to remove the app and reload it.  It fixed my problem long enough to get about 3 devices removed before it quit working with the same problem..  Reloading the app again did not work.  

Within about a week or so, it went down one day and after rebooting it the internet light stayed orange.  Eventually it did allow us on, but it stayed orange.  Only within a day or so, we were still having problems with glitches.  

We ended up buying another Nighthawk router, this time we spent a little more on it and was able to install it a little easier.  It's working with no problem.    So the NETGEAR router bought through here, I wouldn't recommend even though I like the the Nighthawk routers in general.
