It works well, but some minor modifications could make it great. Like the back/home buttons are not lit up. This is installed in a server room.  To see the buttons, I had to shine a flashlight on it if to use the panel. The biggest flaw is you have to remove the battery to run it in network mode as a back up system. That means I now have to plug it into another backup battery system in case there is an outage rather than use the onboard battery.   Overall, I think the product is good. I just think there are some easy wins that you could do with it to make it more configurable and a little bit better user experience.

Good Product Overall - Needs 2 Design Tweaks

This is the easiest piece of technology I have ever set up! I'm an old fart and had no problem getting it to work. Very fast, same speed I had with wired internet. Highly recommend  this product. Some say it's expensive, I say you get what you pay for!

This router is receiving 5g signals (sometimes) while my phone never leaves 4g. It shows the same signal strength as my phone yet it is picking up a better option. It is tethered to the external antenna and that might be the reason for getting 5g and not my phone. I'll leave that question with the experts to answer. I am happy with this purchase of the unlocked model and happy to have paid a bit more for the option to swap carriers as needed.

Better performance than my phone right next to it.

Really like this new unlocked M6! A bit pricey though. Battery will not last 13 hours as advertised only if you dont have the best optimal setup in settings and too many options turned on. Other than that, it is a great alternative to a mobil phone hotspot. I think it is an excellent data hotspot with great options along with being unlocked. It works great on T-Mobil network which is how I have it setup. I have no issues with it and use it in our RV up and down the east coast. I like the fact that when starlink can not get a signal due to weather, location and has to gave clear line of site with no trees on order for starlink to even work. My Netgear M6 delivers with no conectivity issues via Cell towers instead.

Great M6 Unlocked WiFi Mobil Router

Bought this for my new boat to have internet access anywhere.  Works great can handle all of my computing needs while streaming videos to the smart TV.

Great Unit

This was an upgrade from an older Netgear cellular modem that basically lived out its entire functional life, and was set to EOL status by Netgear.  I only have cellular WiFi, so I couldn't risk not having hardware that wasn't supported, so I followed their recommendation to this model, and so far so good.  The only thing I wish it came with is a longer power cord.  It's why it received 4 v. 5 stars - a longer cord, even by two feet would have yielded a 5 star rating.

Powerful, slim profile cellular modem

The fact that sometimes it freezes up or doesn't respond at all. Sometimes it just restarts for no reason anyways so there is that. Other than that it's nice. Problem is I can't use it for a certain game called Warframe but that could be with my provider. Port forwarding didn't work either which caused 2 hours of annoyance till I finally gave up. Overall, I love it a lot. First time I ever used one and I gotta say first impression are great.

It's wonderful however

Because this device is capable of gobbling up so much data so fast, T-Mobile (for sure) and most likely, AT&T, do NOT offer any unlimited data plans for this device in our area (and probably in your area too).  Therefore, you MAY want to reconsider your purchase knowing this.  Otherwise, WOW, what a hotspot!!

Caveat Emptor, baby!

I currently have the Nighthawk M5 5200. I read several reviews on the new M6 indicating a 20% speed increase over my M5. I ran multiple test using the same sim, testing the M5 and M6 in the same exact spot and used the same cell phone at the same distance from the Nighthawks on the 5ghz channels using wifi6. I ran 7 tests on each Nighthawk using my Ookla test app. I tossed the high and low test on each Nighthawk and averaged the middle 5 tests on each. The M5 and M6 were almost identical, both in the mid 500 mbps download speed. Only a 1% difference between the two averages with the M5 turning in the very very slightly better speed. 
The M5 and the M6 both provide excelent data speeds. If you have an M5 I would not recommend an 6M upgrade. If you dont have an M5, then I highly recomend the M6.

If you have an M5 keep it.

Check with your service provider of choice. Unlocked for only the big three. Unlike the M1, which was unlocked for all providers. Didn't work with Cricket, even though they are associated with ATT. Fortunately, my M1 is still going.

I bought this months ago. I consistently get .5-.6 Mbps download speeds while my phone, receiving the same cell signal, gets 30 Mbps download speeds. A reboot of the hotspot may temporarily increase download speed to 20 Mbps, but never faster, and it will soon degrade. I've tried adding an antenna, and it is running the latest software.
