Easy to hook up, worked right away. Helped "boost" the internet connection to my kids game station so there isn't nearly as much "lagging" and therefore not nearly as much "raging".

I am not very techy so I called my internet provider asking to drop a new coaxial line at a new location because I needed an Ethernet connection for my new job and needed to set up at a different part of my house for some quiet.  They informed me of this product and I was reluctant. But I had to try it and found that it was perfect. It was easy and simple to set up. The connection stays strong and I am able to perform my job without any internet troubles. Very happy with the product.

Exactly what I needed

Because my office is situated on the opposite side of my house from my router the internet speed is extremely compromised in transit. The PowerLINE 1200 Mbps was the answer I needed. But I needed help getting it connected properly and the tech I spoke to saved the day! His calm, reassuring, and professional help solved my setup issues (my fault) and now my internet speed is no longer compromised. I am a very happy Netgear customer.

Help When You Need It

This thing does exactly what it claims to do. Extends the range of your wired connection by plugging into the router on one end, and your device on the other. Top notch function and design.

Affordable, high quality option

Easy to set-up! I live in an old house (plaster walls) and even with a WiFi extender speeds were slow (~25Mbps on the 5G band), and slower on the 2G which was the only band that made it to the basement were my backup drive is located. Old house = old wiring (still some knob and tubing lurking about) which, I knew would impact the Powerline. I am getting about 44 Mbps with the Powerline, considerably better than WiFi. Speed/connection is more stable with the Powerline. Backups go faster and for the computer away from the router, downloads are faster using the Powerline vs. WiFi.  Very happy with it, much better than drilling holes and snaking an Ethernet cable.

2 Thumbs Up!

I had some difficulty at first. I ran back and forth from the house to the shop 50 times trying to get this item to work. Then it hit me! This product sends signal through the house electrical system. They can't communicate if the power source at each side is different. I ran a temporary line 150 feet to my shop from my house, plugged them in and they worked great. I'll have to bury a permanent line in conduit in the spring. A tad more work than I expected, nevertheless, I have wifi where I need it.

Powerline 1200

I bought this to improve the WiFi connection to a game system that's in the basement. No matter what I try the connection flashes amber. The information out there about troubleshooting this is limited and basically the only suggestion is to move it to a “better” outlet or reset to factory settings. I tried the reset but you can't tell if it actually worked or not. My son says it's working better than without the PowerLine so I guess that's something but I expected to get what I paid for.
