This is our 3rd one of these. They last about 5 years before they don't hold a charge anymore. It nice to have a little compact can opener that you don't have to waste counter space on. I'll spend $25ish every 5 years for the convenience of such a compact opener

I asked myself why did I wait so long to try this can opener it is actually been a very very time saving and safety that I definitely need it. that I purchased in years. I bought this can opener before.  I love it!  Easy to use and really lasts a long time.  If your power goes out you can still use this to open cans.  Works great with large cans where a reg electric can opener may not be able to open the larger cans.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement.  The first one lasted a very long time. It is very easy to use and maintain.

This is the second can opener that i have owned like this.    i liked it so well when my other one went out.I decided to order this one. some people think it's hard to operate, but it is what you make it. it's black in color very compact, very nice, looking.

Ease of use for arthritic hands. I like the rechargeable feature. Also, only a small amount of pressure required to start the can opening process. It does all the work for you!

Not what I was looking for but am very pleased with it, holds charge forever, small so easy to store. I find it a bit difficult to get secured on cans but that could be me and learning curve.

So cute and stylish

This is a great little can opener.  Cordless, so it can be used anywhere, but one design flaw.  

The batteries AREN'T EASILY REPLACED.  This is the second one I've bought (first one lasted well over 5 years).  Having rechargeable batteries, IT WOULD MAKE SENSE to have them not HARD WIRED into the device.  I took the old one apart, and WILL BE replacing the batteries, after a small mod is made internally to accept them.  

I hate not being able to replace A BATTERY, and having to throw an entire working device away.  IT'S ignorant in my opinion.

I've only used my new can opener 3 times so far. The first time was on a larger can and it only opened the lid most of the way. My husband had to use an old type hand cutter to finish the job. It was tricky getting the can opener in correct position. However, the next time I used it, it worked just fine once I held my tongue just right and got the opener in position. LOL Seriously the 3rd use, it worked just like it is advertised to do. If it continues, I'll love it. I have had thumb joint reconstruction and have arthritis so I think this opener will be suitable as I get more used to it. I love that it takes up so little space when not in use. I would give it a 5 star if I had more experience with it and it continues to do as the last time I used it.

Love the portability

This seemed like a neat little product, but it was heavy (tipped over the cans) and tricky to manipulate. There seemed to be some sort of "trick" to getting it to start properly but neither myself nor my 84-year old Mother (for whom it was purchased) could consistency make it work. Unfortunately it needs to go back for a more conventional and straight-forward style. On the plus side, once it finally started to take off around the can, it was quite fun to watch!

I bought this product for my 86 year old mother, thinking it would be easy for her to operate. After she tried it she told me she could not get it to start. I tried it and she was right. Placing gear on can top was easy, but it took me BOTH HANDS to depress cutter.
