I bought this for my 7 year old. I think hes about 4ft tall. (I got two second hand razors from a neighbour but they were the same size I needed it for my 4 and 7 year old.) the red scooter was in a very good price $19 so I bought it for my 7year old. 
Its a good height for him and will probably be good for a while height wise. The height settings I didnt notice where you can adjust it.
The handles pop on very easily. 
It says about 140lbs however if your child may be nearing that weight Id probably say get something else. Im around that weight and it felt like it could now under my weight especially with prolonged use, even though Im that weight.
My short 4 year old also uses this! She comes up to the handle bars I think shes about 3ft tall. 
The ride is very smooth!

All in its a great starter scooter, this was fir my 12ur old. He loves everything about it and now want to get a scooter for tricks  as this not easy to do tricks.

Shiny and fast scooter.

These are way more durable than cheap, off brands my kids have had. My daughter played with hers almost daily all summer and has been pretty rough with it, and it's still in great shape.

Good quality

I got one for my 6 year old grandson and one for my 4 year old granddaughter. They both were able to used it and did well. The handle still had room for him to use for awhile.

had only 3 days and the adjustment peice for the handlebars cam off and  the peices went everywhere.  had to fix with new bolt and nut cause they were lost.
