NOW shea butter is great.  I use it on my face and hands and love the feel of it on my skin.  I also use it to prevent dry heels.  It is a great product and a brand I trust.

Quality shea butter that I used as a base for homemade body cream. Shea butter doesn't always have a long shelf life after opening, so consider refrigeration to extend the life of your product.

Even Texture, Good Base

From the description I wasn't totally sure that this shea butter was refined which would mean that it doesn't smell bad. It must be refined because it does not smell bad. I like it. I melt a little and mix with olive oil for a moisturizer. I am happy with the product.

NOW is an excellent shea butter which has no odor, smooth, creamy soft, and easy to use. It has to have some type of processing to achieve this, but if you have to have something with no odor this is it. If this is of no concern you have plenty of other cheaper choices

Now is excellent quality

I know its raw but the hard chunks make it impossible to use as a moisturizer. They don't dissolve and Im just walking around with white chunks on my face.

Good except the chunks.

I warm a bit of shea butter in my hands, then apply. It doesn't go on easily this way, but it's quicker than microwaving or heating in water. Then because I find it greasy. I blot off the excess with tissue or wash cloth. At least it isn't full of chemicles.

Product is great for soap making. About every other jar is grainy and separated, not so good for regular usage but OK for soap. Haven't found a jar yet that has 7 ounces of shea butter. Variable weights. Have to measure every jar when using for soap. No odor at all so its perfect for soap.

This is rock hard. Unusable unless melted. Impractical . At some point I will probably try to blender mix it with some oil that is soft at room temperature to make it functional, in the blender, but right now it's
unusable and too heavy to pay for return postage. I read the negative reviews but didn't take heed.

Are people reviewing two different products here?  Some love it, while others, like me, hate it.  It is dry, crumbly, gritty.  I zapped a bit, but in a few days it was right back to its original state.  Makes a terrible mess. Will not smooth out when rubbed between hands.
