I can't find alfalfa sprouts in the store anymore so I wanted to grow my own to have for sandwiches. These couldn't be more easier to grow. You can find many videos on the Internet with instructions. These seeds make delicious sprouts in 5 to 6 days.

I bought these alfalfa seeds to grow sprouts. They come in a resealable bag, but I chose to put the dry seeds in a canning jar in my pantry. I soaked about 1 Tbls of seeds in a pint jar overnight, then poured off the water and rinsed 2x per day for the first batch of sprouts. It took about 4 days left on the counter to start to green up, then I put them in the fridge and started a second batch. I'm loving the addition to salads and sandwiches! You can't find sprouts in grocery stores or at salad bars because of the potential of bacteria growth. But you can control conditions in your own home, so it's not a problem.
