As the gate latch we had on there, we continually had issues with swelling so the latch wouldn't line up. From humidity to frost lines, so many times it won't latch. This helps us make sure that the gate is securely shut to keep out dogs from getting out. 
Nice size to handle a heavier gate door. The black color matches with any paint color.

We installed this and what a perfect fit! The install was very easy, just a few screws and there you go! Also, it is well made and does not feel like it will break or come unscrewed. It feels heavy duty and of great quality!

Very Solid

It is really well made and I'm sure it will last a long time. This was easy to put up and there is 4 screws that comes with the kit. The installation was pretty fast and simple once I figured out where I was putting it. Hooking and unhooking the hook is smooth and easy. I like the color and finish of the hook and would probably fit in great wherever you are going to put it. I love how heavy duty it is because it won't be able to break easily.
