The tree stand that came with my tree was plastic and was quickly broken by a friend's dog one day. This stand is the standard type that comes with the better trees. I am happy with my purchase.

Good for my purposes

This is a very solid, rugged and well made stand. I had a 9' tree with a pretty cheap stand where the screws stripped the metal and no longer held the tree. This stand has three bigger screws and is much sturdier. It still folds flat for storage.

Easy to set up and very sturdy for our 7.5' tree.

Did not have the centering screws as pictured, had to adapt to fit.

This stand is sturdy enough ,but screws do not hold tree with lights and decorations straight - it still leans. Needs some kind of insert with knubs or bolts with round flat surface on inside to hold tree better.

National tree stand

The picture on the advertisement shows two screws in the stand, however the stand has only one screw. The stand does not hold the tree up. Make sure you order a stand with two screws otherwise the tree will fall over.

The stand does not "hold" the tree pole up off the ground as pictured on the box, and there are no instructions. Also, my stand came with only one screw, not three.
