Springs

This item is essential to any pet owners - have owned several different scoopers and they were all so flimsy they eventually broke .  I have Fiur dogs and this works perfectly

However, the company is AWESOME about sending replacements.  I've seen other products mimic this style, mainly because it works.  You only need one hand to use it and it does the job you want it to.  The springs DO deform and eventually break (I got more use out of mine by using needle nose pliers to re-bend the ends).  When I finally broke down and called the company to find out where I could get more springs, they just quickly told me they'd send me new ones. No fuss, no receipts necessary - just an address.  Great!

I have four dogs and bought two Jaw Scoops a few months ago.  In almost three decades of dog ownership these are by far the best scoops I've ever owned.  Unfortunately the springs don't seem to hold up as well as the rest of the scoop.  I discovered a broken spring this morning, came to this page and ended up reading a few reviews with similar complaints.  My next step was to call Customer Service at 1-800-645-5154 (be prepared to do some multi-tasking while you wait) and the polite, helpful and informative customer service rep agreed to send replacement springs immediately at no cost to me.  He also informed me that stronger springs would have to be made out of titanium which would significantly increase the cost of the product so the company seems quite happy to send out replacement springs to keep their customers happy.  Don't just leave a comment here and expect them to handle it, take the time to call and resolve your issue immediately.  Bravo to the customer service rep!

Love the Scoop (but not the springs)

We've had this scoop for a few years & it's worked great! One of the springs broke a few weeks ago. I ended up on this site & saw the reviews about the springs. I guess we're lucky for ours to have lasted years until a spring broke. I'll call customer service for a replacement , but I agree with the other reviews...they should send a pack of replacement springs when you purchase the scoop.

I paid more for this model because it appeared to have a black plastic scoop and a metal handle.  Turns out it's grey plastic.  I could have bought a plastic one for $10 less. 

 And the grip is HUGE, sized for very large hands, larger than mine even though I am 5' 9" and wear XL size gloves.  Awkward to hold because of.

OK and does the job but not the best choice.

Bought this about 9 months ago and the first spring on the Jumbo model broke within a month.  The other one lasted for about 8 more months, then it too broke.  Called customer service but it was 15 minutes after they closed.

Need better springs!!
