It's a cool looking blaster. Not the most efficient but the fun here is the breach loading and the shells. It's more fun to operate than it is to actually fire, if that makes any sense. recommended for the novelty.

My shellstrike was fine out of the box, but when we fired it a couple of times, we found that the bottom prong inside the blaster gets bent everytime you close the shell holder. Also, sometimes when i prime it, the blaster releases the charge halfway, basically slamfiring. I'm not sure if it is just this one that is like this.

Long to reload and you definitely should buy some extra darts so you don't have to go chasing after darts while playing. It shoots pretty far, which is cool, but that about the only thing my son really likes about it.
