It's rated for older children, which is probably due to the fact that it shoots the rounds really fast, and has long range. I would suggest if buying for a younger child, to also buy the face shield.

Great performance

We own every Nerf Rival Gun, and nearly every nerf gun, and this is the best of all of them.  Shoots fast, hard, and accurately.  Holds tons of ammo.  Easy to reload.  Its best feature:  It's easy to cock and use during a battle - very smooth and reliable.   No downside!

I'm sorry I haven't open it as of yet I got it for my grandson birthday which is couple of months off I know he's going to enjoy though because that's all he been asking for

This gun a sleek design and is far more compact than the other rival blasters. It packs the hardest punch I have felt from a nerf blaster. Not to mention it has a carrying. Capacity of 30 rounds. The multi barrel loading system is a great design because t keeps your opponents guessing if you plan on playing against other people.

This nerf blaster is absolutely amazing

This gun fires extremely fast rounds with high accuracy.  It also allows for rapid firing all 30 rounds.  This is not a nerf gun for smaller children.  The age recommendation of 14+ years old is probably wise to follow.  Otherwise you really have to trust your child not to shoot this careless around the house or at others.  It makes a fairly loud popping sound when firing, which just adds to the intimidation of the high velocity shot.

I was unable to find this nerf gun online at first. I also realized that the price fluctuated from really cheap to really expensive. I had heard about robots buying up the most sought after toys and then reselling them for way more because people wanted them and they couldn't get them. So I decided to go to the manufacturer. Was pleased to find that I could get them there online, know that it was the real deal. And free shipping.

No hassle purchase

It came as if repackaged and refurbished but was listed and priced as new. It had black sharpie written on it and was missing the face shield it should come with. It works for now… but seems like a scam since it was full price and clearly was refurbished.

The Artemis is a fun gun to play with. However after playing for a couple of weeks it starts to jam a lot and the bullets do not come out when you shoot. We do play a lot with our nerf guns and rival works well. If buying for small kids know that the bullets hurt especially when shot in close range.

Rival Gun

Honestly I loved this gun. Problem was I bought two and both of them broke before making it through their first 30 shots. The sliding mechanisms get stuck and cannot be undone without a hard hit. One gets stuck at the back nearly every time and I have to hit it backwards hard to get it to release and slide forward again. The other one gets stuck at the front literally every time and I have to hit it forward really hard to get it to release and slide backwards again. Sometimes it takes numerous hard hits to free them which indicates something is broken inside. The first 20 shots were problem free, it's really odd they both broke which is why I'm going to try and exchange them for a couple new ones and see if those last, if so I will edit my review. If a similar result ensues, I will likely leave my review as is.
