you pay 15 CAD this is what you got. Don't expect a clear sound, really noisy background, but I just want to pretend with my child, so it good enough

These are toy grade. They work if there is only air between them. We tried to use them from car to car and they could not work.

These are okay, but not for FRS use.

Disappointing

The first pair we bought you couldn't open the battery compartment, we tried a second pair and they were awful.  The background noise on them was so loud, the Morse code button only worked on one, and one stopped working entirely after about 5 mins. We returned and bought something else.   Don't waste your money/time.

Limited play time

These reviews are weird! We found the exact same ones at Toys R Us and Target and checked the reviews for these on their sites as well and some people seem to be able to use them and said they were really fun??? I am just wondering if the people who left even a half way good review ever had their kids or people they bought them for use them around them even once? Because these Nerf brand walkie talkies are the worst I have ever bought for my kids! Ever!! They are completely unusable.. You can't use them because of the really loud screech that comes from them.. I feel so bad because my son was sooooo excited to get these and now he is left with a bum toy and a sour birthday play time with his friends who were looking forward to playing outside with these. Don't waste your money!! Spend a little more and buy a better brand. Trust me. We Have tried these inside, outside, in the woods, close far, everywhere and they do not work!! Junk toy!!

Unusable!!! Don't buy!!

I paid 19.99 plus tax and there is a set of walkie talkies priced at 23.99 that has lots of features and great reviews so I will be trading this set for the other ones. The static on these is horrible and there is no volume button. My kids can't play with them because the loud static drives me nuts and them too. I am adding a few dollars and trading for the other ones that I saw at the store.

Returning ASAP

What a complete waste of money! Every time someone tries to speak into one, the other makes a high pitched screeching sound. And yes, I tried farther away or closer together. Doesn't matter. I know you get what you pay for, but I was at least expecting to be able to hear a little out of them.
