“The Vertuo Creatista has a serious leaking problem. After only two cups of coffee, the water tray fills up. I emptied it, and an hour or two later there was even more water in the tray. This should not happen on a machine at this price. Very disappointing—don't waste your money.”

I am a big Nespresso fan and bought this machine to replace an earlier generation. It's beautiful and I was excited by the features but it just doesn't work consistently.  Leaks coffee periodically, milk frother doesn't work reliably (requiring constant unplugging and re-plugging) and press one button too many and suddenly an 6 oz coffee becomes 2 oz. I would not buy again and should have stuck with a less expensive machine that works.

Not ready for prime time

I loved this machine so much for about three weeks. I've had it replaced twice for leaking from underneath the steam wand section. It never stopped. We still use the machine but it leaks even when it's not in use. The design is awful and Nespresso knows but hasn't changed anything. Incredibly disappointing for such an expensive machine. Do not recommend.

Love the convenience, coffees and look of the machine but I can't believe Nespresso can't get the water leaks fixed.  We are on our fourth machine and it started leaking in just a few weeks.  I'm now looking for a different machine.   It's just too bad!

Really Unfortunate!

This is my second nespresso machine.  I have a latissima Pro Original pod machine that is still amazing and better than this piece of beautiful garbage in every way.  I needed something for my office and got this.

Every negative review you read about issues is accurate. It leaks and the milk wand will not work about once a week.

The leak is a design flaw, not a defect. There is a nozzle under the machine that seems to be for a pressure release or overflow function.  It points into the back of the incredibly shallow tray.  The position of the nozzle and the  design of the back of the tray causes water to wick over the back lip of the tray and all over your counter.  Draining the tray after each coffee made sometimes prevents the wicking, but not every time.  My first career was engineering; Breville needs new ones...this would have been an easy problem to catch and solve.

The milk wand sometimes randomly stops working. Sometimes thoroughly cleaning it and running a cleaning cycle works, other times you have to unplug the machine and do a hard reset.

I hate this thing and wish I had never bought it.

I have had this machine for less than 2 years. It often leaks on the counter no matter how diligent I am about emptying the drip tray. As others have noted, there is a relief valve from the wand that seems to purge onto the counter. Recently, the steam wand stopped working. I sent it to Nespresso for repair and it worked for a single drink before failing again. I had the original line version of this machine beforehand and it worked for 6+ years before I "upgraded". I guess I'll go back to the areoccino for milk frothing again. Sigh.

I bought this machine two years ago. The steam wand stopped working a year ago. It continues to brew coffee but it is not worth the cost if you cannot use the steam wand. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Select a cheaper machine with better performance.

Faulty steam wand

Love the machine, looks good, brews and froth is perfect but but but IT LEAKS!

This machine is 10 months old and I have done the regular descaling and cleaning and after ten months I notice my drip tray was getting full of water when not in use.  I totally clean and dried the drip tray and put it back in its place when I came home from work the drip tray was full with no usage.

It LEAKS ! ! !

I own this machine (The Vertuo Creatista) and the (Vertuo Chrome). I regret buying the Creatista, even when considering I bought it at a steep discount.  

It makes the same cup of coffee, the coffee is hoter, and while I like the milk "foamer," the machine underperforms in several areas. 
- It leaks. This is my second one; both leak. Do NOT place the machine on anything that could be damaged by water.
- The container for water is hard to remove and fill
- It is difficult to see if the water container needs to be filled
- The container for used coffee pods is small
- When you use the steamer, you'll need to empty the drip tray after two uses, or you'll have milky water overflow on the counter (this is a second area where you can get water on your counter)
- It leaks water! A machine this expensive should NEVER leak.
- I like Nespresso pods as they are an easy way to make a good cup of coffee, just don't buy this machine.

Don't buy this machine, There are many better.

This is my second of this machine because Nespresso's had to send me a second one a few months in and here I am once again experiencing the same problems a few months in. Do not buy!!! The few times it worked the coffee is great, but it's so far and few between… stinks.

Never works

I've had this machine for a month now; it's great! Zero leaks and the steam wand is amazing! My only issue… closing it! I can't fathom why a machine this pricey is so hard to close! My old, much cheaper nespresso machines closed with ease. The design on this one is terrible. I always feel like I'm going to break it, and you need to use two hands.
