[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee maker makes a good cup of coffee. Of course, that depends on the coffee you use as well. It has a built in prefilter which provides better tasting coffee as well. This coffee maker is attractive and true to the picture in color. The color-coded scoop is cool as well. I will say though if you are using coffee that recommends specific ratios, I had to look in manual to find the conversion of how many tbs the scoop was. There's a chart that explains it. The fresh feature is cool but I only make enough to drink at one time so I don't really use it. I don't like that the lid opens sideways. It's different and gives you a friendlier access unless you want to put it under a cabinet that doesn't give you a whole lot of clearance. This is my case. I had to move it over to an area where I had the clearance above to open it. I found the user controls completely easy to use and straight forward. You can read the manual, but it's not necessary to start it up. Easy to know its set to brew later with the large button and the white led. Overall it is a machine that does what it's meant to do, and does it well.

I was quite pleased with this coffee maker until it died on me this morning. I set it up and turned it on to brew and it immediately beeped, indicating the brew cycle was complete but it wasn't. The plate didn't heat up either. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in which didn't work. I'm noticing this has happened to many others from the reviews. It's too bad that Mr. Coffee has made a product that is unreliable. I really thought this was a reputable brand. I will shop for another brand after seeing all of these reviews.

Mine died after only a year

I bought one of these coffee makers last year. And I loved it. It brews quickly. The measuring system is nice. Everything worked great till one morning, I turned the coffeemaker on and it immediately beeped that it had finished brewing despite not brewing anything. I googled and troubleshooted and eventually decided that I had probably gotten a clog in one of the lines. I didn't have the correct tool to opened it up so I just decided to go buy another. I bought the same coffeemaker bc I liked it so much and I figured this was just a fluke. But here we are about 6 months later and it's died again. Yesterday, I made coffee. An hour later, I noticed a weird smell in the kitchen but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. This morning, I turned my coffee maker on and walked away. After a while, I realized I hadn't heard the beep and went to see what was up. The power was on, but the warmer was cold and no coffee had brewed.

Nice coffee maker but not reliable.

My Mr Coffee Maker has worked fine until this morning I get the EC 1 error code. I don't want you sympathy, I want you to reply to this message what this error code means and how to get it fixed.

EC 1 error code

We got one for Christmas and today we noticed the clock was flashing all different times. After attempting to reset it multiple times we unplugged it from the wall and replaced it back in. Now it shows an EC 2 message. Sad to get on here and see so many people recently with similar experiences. :-/

EC 2 code - Not happy

I bought this to replace a Black and Decker I had had quite a few years and thought it was great. Like the features on it.  It worked find for a couple of months then one day just stopped brewing!  I put coffee and water in and hit Brew Now button and nothing happened.  Turned it off, unplugged it, waited, tried again.  Would not brew. So unplugged, stuck in box and started using old small Black and Decker one I had.  At least that worked!  Then one day I was going to call about the Mr. Coffee one, took it out of box, decided to plug up and try it, it worked!  But a week or so later it has done the same thing as the first time.  WON'T BREW!!  What is the matter with this product?  Would certainly appreciate some help!  Some years ago bought an iced tea maker by Mr. Coffee and it has been great. Never had any problems with.

Liked the look and programmable

This is the third and last for this coffee maker.  Done with Mr. Coffee period.  Same issue.  It brews fine then a couple of months later it stops brewing.  It doesn't go through the brew cycle or cleaning cycle.  We gave it a third chance because we like it when it works. However, this last one stopped brewing within two months.  DO NOT BUY!!!

Horrible product

heating pad didn't warm. I left it unplugged for awhile and tried again, and was pleased it seemed fine. Fast forward a month and a half, I came home from work and the clock numbers were flashing furiously and the hour of freshness lights were blinking one after the other over and over again. And mine has the auto turn off feature, so even if I had accidentally left it on (Which I 100% know I didn't), it should have turned off anyway. Also, it kept auto selecting Brew Later so it would rapidly beep almost constantly. It took several tries for the Brew button to work too. I unplugged it after a thorough clean, and Ec1 popped up.
I will never buy this awful brand again. It's garbage at the price I paid for it.

This machine worked well... for a month or so. This morning it's showing a “EC2” code and I can't find any info on the website to fix or clear it. Frustrating at best!
