My daughter loves her set! 
Something that is not mentioned in the item description is the hole located in the back mid section. This was added to bring a power source into the vanity. Love the idea, no more cluttered wire eye sores. 
Also if your like me and read a hundred reviews before making a decision,  this is a great buy. Very solid and sturdy. Easy to put together, and arrived quickly.  Also, the size is perfect for teen to adult. Best purchase of the year by far because she now keeps her make up and hair stuff out of the bathroom and in the confines of the vanity. Happy all the way around.

I bought this desk for my daughters 12th birthday and she loves it! It is perfect for her because it is a vanity with a mirror that lifts up and she can put her makeup and things inside and close it to make a desk for doing homework. It is perfect for smaller spaces. I would recommend this desk to anyone.

Very sweet for a girl!

Bought for Mom's Birthday and she loved it...I had no problems putting it together only thing I didn't like is that the bench is cream or tan not white...other then that SHE LOVED IT!!!!!

Lots of room in the middle drawer for lesser used items and very sturdy. Love the bench design...very comfy.

Very good looking!

This was exactly what I needed so my husband bought it for me for my birthday. It took like two weeks to ship (however, it was free shipping). I received it damaged in a few spots.. One of the corners was bent in and one of the drawers didn't slide in correctly. Thankfully my husband is super handy so he was able to fix the drawer and I just was going to live with the beat up corner since I didn't feel like going through the return process and then waiting another two weeks. Overall I like it, but it definatly needs some lights too!! It was good for the price that he paid and holds my makeup and hair stuff which is ultimately what I needed.

Came a bit damaged

This is great and convenient to be both a writing table and vanity. When you open the mirror the base of the vanity opens up and flattens out for comfortable use.
It has two drawers and its easy to assemble, doesn't require a manual really buy its handy and it's a one person job. It's study and strong but I wouldn't recommend heavy weights.
I like it very much

Writing desk plus vanity.

I was wary of purchasing this after reading reviews online that commented on the poor packaging. I purchased it because it was a good price and exactly what I wanted, thinking maybe the packaging wasn't that big of a problem. It turns out, it kind of is. I opened the box and moved the flimsy piece of styrofoam to reveal a big dent in the wood. I was annoyed, but decided to pull it out and assess the damage and see if there was anything else. Luckily, that was the only damage and it is on the back side that faces the wall, so I was not annoyed enough to return it. It is very nice otherwise and I am very happy with it. It looks very elegant and is generally good quality for the price. But beware of the poor packaging and likelihood of potential damage! Something should really be done with this many people complaining about it.

Great vanity, but terrible packaging.

Truthfully the item is exactly what I thought. But what I hadn't counted on was that I would receive this item damaged, TWICE, in the very same spot -- the lower left corner of the vanity was split, chipped and marred! It is shipped in packaging with the picture of the item on the box. Both times I received the item it was sitting upright on my front porch and I could see the box was torn in the same spot. Upon opening the item I found the padding was ample on the sides but little to no padding on the top or bottom where the box was torn & contents damaged. I initially thought it was the handling, but it more than likely the poorly packaged item. I returned the 1st one and received the second, still damaged but to a lesser degree. I decided that the third time may be worse than the last two and I may be able to stain this second one so the damage is less noticeable...which is what I did. I see the flaw clearly, but I'm the only one sitting at it; no one else seems to notice. I would recommend the item only if you can pick it up yourself. This item obviously cannot taking the rigors of sloppy shippers.

Very delicate & packed poorly

This is a good deal and is $45 less than any other seller. Good size - useable as both desk and vanity table. LOVE the idea of the hide-away storage so you don;t have to have everything out on the desktop.

Only problem was with hardware - the package I received might have been a previous return as the bag with the hardware (screws and washers) was open and everything was rolling around box and on floor (as the box was not well sealed). Ended up short one screw and one washer. Thankfully screw was just for drawer pull and washer was one I had in my toolbox but it could have been far worse. I would have been very ticked off it was one of the more 'functional' screws. This issue is the only reason I gave it 3 rather than 4 or more stars.

Good deal

This is the third vanity set after returning the rest of two set due to poor handling during packing and shipping. My daughter really like this one and I kept attempting to find the undamaged set but unfortunately I was not the lucky one.
