For Small Batches

Has sufficient power for efficient chopping and crushing.

I've been needing something to make smoothies and grind/blend any number of things, because the blender I have SUCKS! If I try to make a smoothie I just get lumps of ice and frozen fruit in juice. So I purchased this and absolutely love it! My initial test was to see if I could make "ice cream" by blending some frozen bananas and strawberries, and the end product was smooth and creamy! I can't wait to use this product again, it's definitely my new favorite kitchen gadget. =]

Very impressed!

walmart.com

[Employee of walmartcanada] This Ninja Express Chop works incredibly well. It's fast, powerful, and makes prep so much easier. Vegetables, herbs, and small batches of anything come out perfectly chopped every time. Super convenient to use and clean. Definitely worth it.

Excellent little chopper

When we moved to a new State, my old food chopper was lost in transit. I was looking for something that would chop simple things like onions, tomatoes, garlic, etc. for dishes like guacamole and salsa... nothing too complicated. I liked the reviews on this product, which is a brand I'd never used before. I am here to say that all the positive reviews were true. Only a few quick pulses produces the perfect texture of chopped veggies for what I wanted. I haven't tried out other things like carrots or potatoes for chopping yet, but if it works as well on those items, I'll be totally satisfied. I've also used this to chop up chicken and all the ingredients necessary to make a perfect chicken salad for sandwiches and was totally satisfied with the job done. I highly recommend this product for anyone who only wants to make small amounts of chopped items, such as for a family of two or three at most. It is also enormously easy to put together, use, and clean up afterwards. All you have to do is beware of the very sharp blades when cleaning. Oh yes, one other thing, the lid that is used to prevent food from splashing out while chopping is one of the best features ever. It has a tab on it that closes so you can store your chopped items directly into the fridge. That was perfect for the chicken salad. The lid removes and locks on just perfectly.

It Does the Job Perfectly

I just love this thing! It's just the right size for quick jobs, takes up very little space on the counter so I find it easy to leave it out and I end up using it all the time. I chopped a whole onion in about 3 seconds without turning it to mush. I made a chicken salad in less than a minute putting the ingredients in one at a time. It cleans up quick with not much more than a rinse with some soapy water.
The only thing I would change it to make the inside of the container flat instead of ridged so it would be a little easier to get whatever is chopped out. It can be a little tedious trying to scrape down the sides.
I got this to chop ice for coffee drinks, but I haven't gotten around to that yet, but with the 2 REALLY sharp blades I don't expect have any trouble. Do watch out for those blades when cleaning....some spots don't look sharp but then they sneak up and bite ya!

Perfect!!

I've had one just like this for a couple of years and I just adore it. It's so easy to use, cleans up well, too. My mother was hand-chopping since her arthritis won't allow her to push on a manual chopper. When I found that out, I hurried to order her one of these. No word from her on if she loves it--but I certainly do.

For my mama!

I had a Cusinart mini chopper for a few years but the blades cracked and the bowl split so that it started leaking. I would love to have a large food processor but can't really afford one right now. So I was looking for something that would chop onions and garlic and be able to make guacamole. This little chopper is the best. The double blades make short work of any tasks. It only takes a few pulses and wala it is done. If you just need a small chopper that can handle just about anything this is the one for you.

For the price can't beat this.

Needed to replace my mini B&D chopper and was going to get the same but found this one online. I love that it's red because it matches everything red in my kitchen. Apart from that it has a great design, blades are extremely effective at chopping, mincing and pureeing in a few seconds! I love the splash guard on top which means I dont have to handwash the motor with every use. Another huge plus is that all parts(except motor) are dishwasher safe. I would highly recommend for functionality, ease of cleaning and design.

Neat little chopper that could, can, and more!

I am pleasantly surprised with this small but powerful chopper/blender. I use it often for smaller quantities of food stuffs.. previously I was using my high-priced high-speed blender, but it is hard to clean and not practical for small quantities. The Ninja Express Chopper is perfect for my needs, I wish I had discovered it a long time ago. The price is good, the shipping was fast, it seems to be well built, the blades are very sharp and easily chop everything. This appliance would be appreciated in all kitchens.

Nj100

You really have to be gentle when you press down on the button. The blades are so fast and sharp that if you press too hard you'll get puree instead of chopped.
Its a trial and error thing. Yes, yes, yes! those blades are sharp. They will slice you if you don't handle carefully. Overall it's a good buy.

Be Gentle

I've only used it once, but it seems sturdy and it's not overly loud. I had an older model ninja (with a black motor and several size receptacles) and it may be because it's dying, but that thing is crazy loud. This new one is not, by comparison. It's not silent, though.

Unfortunately, this ninja's motor will not fit on the older receptacles. That's the only reason I deducted a star--would have liked to be able to keep using the old ones, particularly since I had different sizes.

I use it for making baby food and small amounts of sauces. Holds about two cups.

Very pleased so far

one star because it arrived. The package had no doubt been opened previously, corners of the box were mashed, tape was put over the outside packaging where it had been torn, and the extra blades were missing. This being twice the price of same at Target which I bypassed, am really unhappy with the purchase.

Right on, now aren't you sorry you asked ?
