This is my 2nd Ninja. I make a smoothie everyday. The container is a nice size to use ice, fruit and protein powder. The settings have different timers. 60-40 seconds each. The cup fits nicely into the grooves and you turn and it locks in. It is loud, but my condo neighbor said they couldn't hear it. Very EZ

Sturdy, well built not too loud, it's easy to use

I replaced my Ninja professional system with this more compact style after not using most of what came with the professional system. Two years in and still works as good as the day I took it out the box. I haven't replaced the blade attachment, base, cups. Nothing. I'm writing with the hopes that the manufacturer reads this so that I can ask for you to consider reintroducing this in colors like the BlendBoss? I'm not interested in the cup that comes with the BlendBoss and again, I love this one but the fun colors would be nice.

I bought this blender after some research into different personal blenders on the market. My previous bullet-style blender did not have enough cup capacity and wattage to get the job done. I would constantly find the motor would get too hot and short out. This blender has plenty of power to get through anything! I also love it has different size cups but they all fit the same blender blade base. Auto-IQ is an amazing function and has taken ALL guesswork out of blending drinks.

I love this blender when it works like I thought it would, but it’s disappointing in several ways. Probably the most disappointing aspect is that the cups are undersized for how far the blades have to go into the cup when they are screwed on. From what I have read in a lot of other reviews, the 32oz cups give enough head room to get all your frozen fruit, and liquid in the cup with still plenty of room not to have to cram the blades in. Often what I’m experiencing is frozen fruit that stays stuck in the “top” of the cup after turning it over to put onto the blender base. The motor also smells hot every time I use it and it is seems to be getting louder and louder with each use as if something is coming apart inside.

Good but room to improve

Warranty covers only the motor base unit, not the blades.  My Ninja started leaking at the shaft of the blades to get out of the cup into the base unit.  It has a limited warranty for one year so I was assuming that I could order a new blade unit no problem.  After waiting 20 minutes for someone to assist me on the phone, I received help from a very polite, knowledgeable person but her accent was so heavy I probably did not understand very much of what she said.  She said the warranty does not cover the blades but as a 1 time courtesy, they would send out a new part to me at no charge.  I was thankful for that, but disappointed that something like leaking at the shaft would not be covered by the warranty.  (It had done this from the very beginning in very small amount and gradually got worse)
Overall the machine does a good job of making my smoothies but they did decrease the maximum cup liquid volume to 21 oz.  My old Ninja had a large 28? oz size cup and 1 21 oz cup.  It lasted about 3 years before the motor gave out.
I suspect that my next purchase will not be a Ninja.  I probably use it on average twice a week and I expected them to hold up better then they are.

Second Machine/Probably won't buy again.

Cup is upside down on the machine  and often becomes unscrewed while blending, resulting in the smoothie leaking and making a mess. No way to prevent this unless the cap is screwed so tightly making it impossible to unscrew unless you have the hands and strength of the Incredible Hulk.
