Let's be honest, the Switch 2 feels more like an evolution than a revolution but that's quite alright with me.  It's been 8 years since Nintendo released "new" hardware and this feels like the natural evolution of the product.  The larger screen, upgraded kickstand, and a more ergonomic set of Joycons all make this a must buy if you're itching for the best Nintendo experience.

just what i needed

I purchased this console day 2 of its release, and I got really lucky. It was a short window to purchase it, around 12-1am MST on June 10th. They sold out very quickly, I managed to only pay the initial price of $450. Unfortunately, I don't think these consoles will see a price drop anytime soon. If they come back in stock within the $500-$550 range, event without MKWorld included, I'd still buy it, they are very scarce.

 As far as the actual product: packaging, the box, cables, dock, joycon, and the grip were all neatly organized. Felt so good to finally unbox the newest Nintendo console. It always does. Setting up is very easy, although if you bought an OLED bundle, and you didn't apply the bundle to your OLED when you got it, you won't be able to do the system transfer until you "register" the game. Can be done on the Nintendo e-shop. If you can't system transfer, the only thing you'll be losing is your screenshots and videos. You can transfer virtual game cards easily if you sign in with your same Nintendo account. The console is powerful, noticeably so, and it feels great to use in handheld. The joycon sticks are bigger, allowing for more precise input for games such as MKWorld. The battery life is unfortunately not as good as the OLED, however, you're still able to play a game such as MKWorld for about 2.5 hours. Scrolling is much faster, most noticeable in the e-shop. Everything just feels more satisfying on this new system.

Overall, this console is a must buy for nintendo fans, and MKWorld might be one of the best video games ever made. I wouldn't buy it if the price was over $700, but I'd definitely buy it any lower than that.

Amazing Console, Nintendo's Magnum Opus.

i bought the Mario kart world bundle for the switch 2 on June 05 day one at the walmart release walked in grabbed the bundle the box was a little scratched but its fine tue contents inside was untouched so i did not really mind, works flawlessly and the performance was way better than the original switch. tue second one i bought online for my brother because he really wanted one as-well so i got him it  and he loves it too. only con for me personally is the battery life of the switch its alright they could've squeezed in more of a bigger battery to last an extra hour or two considering the pricing of the console. other than that it is a great system so far no issues 👍🏻

Amazing console!!

Everything about this console has been updated since the original! The controls are better. The screen is better and the resolution is better! One amazing surprise is not only can you play all your old Switch games, but the Switch 2 makes them play in smoother frame rates and it often times in higher resolutions. The backwards compatibility is a big bonus. Well done Nintendo!

Another Phenomenal Nintendo System!

I love my switch 2 . Despite getting it so early (my review is a little late) I didn't pay those ridiculous over priced prices some sellers were selling them for at the time, and that I greatly appreciate.

this is a huge step up from the original switch! Don't let the naysayers fool you, even the upgrades to some of the regular switch games are like night and day! extremely extremely fun!

huge upgrade!

As long as you realize that the switch 2 is an iteration on the switch, you'll have a good time. This takes an amazing console and improves on almost every aspect. definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

Switch 2? Take my money!

This console is amazing it literally came a week earlier than it expected, significantly bigger than the original switch, and I just love playing Mario kart on it so much!

Amazing item

With not that many switch 2 exclusive games it's not worth buying it if you already own a switch. If you don't have either one than start with Switch 2 for graphics and gameplay is better. Donkey Kong is the top pick for games and Mario Kart for local multiplayer experience but online it can be tricky
