Great product, but a little pricey.
The scent is a little bit floral/herbal, if you accidentally use too much, it comes off a bit strong, but personally, I like it. 
I use 2-3 droppers at night, and am noticing the difference in hair density and love waking up with soft hair.
It took about a week before I noticed any changes to scalp health, and about a month before I saw any hair growth.
I'm not a fan of the price, I try to buy it when it's on sale, but otherwise, it's a win for me.😊

I would Definitely recommend if you want to repair your old damaged hair. 
I tried for a week i love the fragrance it smells absolutely devine. 
My hair felt smoother and more moisturised helps to cover my grey hair.

My hair has more volume, and more manageable. Its easier to maintain.

It doesn’t burn my scalp which others have. It appears to be working as I haven’t found any grey hairs. It’s easy to apply and in my opinion it works great. Just not the best smell

I would not say it miracle product but I am sure if consistent it will show result as in my case it took me a month to see the difference. This is light weight with black oat peptides niacin-amide and caffeine. It helps to revitalise hair from root and improve hair density. Smells fresh and clean with healthier and fuller looking hair.

I have been using Ultimate Power Serum for years with great results.  I understand Nioxin  changed it to Fall Defense Serum.  I'm not sure if the ingredient are the same but I really do not like the new. smell.  I stock up so I did not notice the change until I opened my new bottle I purchased in December 2025.

I started using the nioxin hair serum last night before bed the fragrance was overpowering but I did it
Then woke in morning to itching so I rinsed out hair an tried again since it said twice a day
I went about my morning as usual trying to get used to fragrance but it is overpowering seemed to be bothering my eyes and nose , that was all I can smell and the itching started again 
So now I looked it up and it says the following ::

some  side effects reported:

* scalp irritation
* dryness
* itching
* temporary increased shedding

especially if they have sensitive skin or are already dealing with medical hair loss.  

Or before that your hair loss is related to illness and treatments, your scalp may be more sensitive than average. I would suggest:

* stopping if you get burning, intense itching, rash, or major shedding

So at this point I can not continue with it
Spent the money now wasted and another thing I can not use
Very disappointed
