While it's an album of covers and old songs, it ranks as one of the band's most cohesive records. Instead of relying on the trio's overpowering sonic force, Unplugged concentrates on Kurt Cobain's subtly shaded songwriting and Nirvana's deceptively simple musical power. Every version of their previously recorded songs, with the possible exception of "On a Plain," dramatically improves the original, and the covers reveal more about Cobain than he intended. By the time Nirvana close with a wrenching, spine-chilling version of Leadbelly's "Where Did You Sleep Last Night," the emotional complexity of Nirvana's music is clear. Save the best for last

So I bought this vinyl twice. I exchanged it for a brand new one because the first one skipped in multiple places, then the one I replaced the first one with skipped too! I am incredibly saddened by this as to this is one of my all time favorite performances by Nirvana. I was so excited to stumble upon this recording at walmart, only to then be disappointed because it was ruined by...poor manufacturing? The skips were almost in the same place on both records, maybe I just happened to land upon to duds in the same case. I don't know but I am truly disappointed in my purchase.
