Great bright light that is used on a dog collar for nighttime walks. I use the blink mode and it is quite visible. Great for a dog's collar. Well made too.

I Got this and when I pressed it it did not work because there was a yellow tab in it. I pulled it out then I turned it on it works. I lost my lime one. I broke my disc-o select one. And this one does not have any problems. And I got for my golden Half dachshund. And I love it!!!!!

saw this at the check out line of a store. We just got dog and thought it may help at night. Never saw this before so I didn't know they had a dog version. This one works perfectly for our dog when attached to her collar. It awesome. It's easy to let her out in our yard at night and not have to go looking for her. We just look for the light.

An excellent product for large breed dogs that enjoy rough and tumble activities during darkness or long walks with their owner. Batteries give good life and are easily changed. Well constructed as yet to have one fall off a collar. Best safety item out there in my three dogs opinion...plus the twenty or so other dogs in our area.

Just returned from RV camping trip on the Rogue River in Oregon. Pitch dark and time to walk the dog before bed. Although on a leash for safety, the 26 foot lead meant she was "out there somewhere" and not visible. With the SpotLit ball wobbling on her collar, I could tell where she was and if she stopped to take care of herself. In the past I had two dogs walking in the dark, and the bobbling, wobbling ball always let me keep track of them. I keep this in my Jeep Wrangler, and if ever I am stuck in the mountains at night, I will have a beacon for the Search and Rescue teams.

Many Uses, Great For Dogs

Every dog owner needs this! It makes me feel much more comfortable in the evenings when I let our corgi outside to go potty. We live in coyote territory, so I liked to keep a close eye on him. I also love to bring this item camping with us, I'm able to let Scooter loose, but still see where he is at all times. It's so easy to clip on his collar. If you have a dog, you need this!

Love these! Wish I would have invented it! We live in the country and let our dogs loose. Our St. Bernard, beagle and Doberman like to play hide and seek at night when we call them. Thanks to this light we are laughing because we have the upper hand now! Only wish the batteries lasted longer.

Love my Nite Ize for my dog Cosmo.  But replacing the battery had me totally flummoxed and the answer I found here didn't compute either.  Here's the thing:  You don't "simply POP OUT THE BATTERY" as suggested here, you SLIDE out the two batteries from the side. That is after you have pried the rubber outside off.  Best tool:  tiny flat screwdriver.  If you've got one for your glasses, you're golden.

We absolutely love these for our three dogs' collars! Only complaint is when the batteries die and you replace them, they never work the same again. We have to buy a new one everytime. Gets expensive!

Only one downside

I have the instructions but they do not help. To change battery, does the unit unscrew, must it be pried apart, does one side versus the other open, is it the entire side of the unit, or a smaller section that comes off? And ... if it's unscrew -- how to do that - seems not to move; if it's pry, what object to do that do you suggest? Help!< p>Nite Ize Response: To change the batteries in the SpotLit you will need to pry the back half of the plastic off at the point where it meets the stainless steel ring. You can do this with your fingernail or a small tool. Once you get the back off, just pop out the battery module and replace the batteries. Hope this helps.
