Unlike the PC version, there is no multi-player, %26 during updates, Nintendo lags behind on save versions by about a week. 

The hardware for the Switch can't handle NMS's multi-player. That's why it is available on the Switch2 %26 not the Switch. 

If you're using the muti-platform save from NMS's official site, Hello Games, Nintendo goes through a waiting period on updates. So if you're playing on another platform %26 want go move to the Switch, you may have to wait a few days. 

Those are the worst complains, the game is still fun, on a TV or a light portable Switch.

Functional %26 Fun but lacking

Well, I personally dislike videogames with overcomplicated controls, where you have 18 total buttons that all do something different in 3 different contexts (do the math with THAT one), and - much like Minecraft - it just sets you off like "here you go!"  When, I argue, that someone exploring space would have been extensively trained; games like Zelda and even Final Fantasy (which rarely makes sense) teach you as you go or have practice modes, taking a logical approach of going through training as the character!  Everything is so vast, and I like that there's endless possibility and I will never run out of something new to explore, but it takes forever to get there (or maybe I just haven't figured out portals yet because of all the bleeping buttons).  I think this is a game for those who dedicate their life and hobbies to gaming, because you will otherwise be playing in bite-sized chunks like I do.  My favorite aspect is the animal companions; my big alien cat brought me condensed oxygen while I was sorting my backpack!!!!!  Too cool!  Also, I miss my cat like crazy, so it was nice to have a faithful cat going everywhere I go again!  I like the game, the music is just like you would hope; I just wish that I could relax and play it, not having to become some expert just to be able to play the game.  If you can master the controls (and not waste too much of your limited time in this life doing so), it will be worth it.

OVERCOMPLICATED BUT WORTH LEARNING

Great game that keeps getting better through developer updates for FREE. you can even upgrade to the Switch 2 edition for free from this cartridge. Excellent value for the money.

Excellent value for money

Arrived quick. Great game. If you want to dive into something for a long period of play this is it. Action, but also can relax. Lots of fun exploring and building and being a space pilot.

If your into this kinda game, mega fun! totally worth it! Cant wait for the Switch 2 remake! Total recommend!

Beyond Worlds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boys were very excited about this game and the story line.  It has endless content and they are enthralled with the worlds and creatures!

Worth the purchase

This is a great game.  I play it on my Switch 2 and there is a free update.  The Nintendo version tends to be behind the current updates when they come out on other platforms.  It is probably because Nintendo can be brown waste.  They graphics can be glitchy and the it seems to reset a lot.  They game isn't perfect.  But the exploration and variety is amazing!
