I bought this for an Elk hunt. I inflated it(easy) and used it in my living room to test it. I'm a side sleeper and had to blow it up a little extra to keep my hips off the ground. My 40 on Bull Terrier puppy romped on it and it held up fine. It's light and kept me off the ground.

Static V Recon

I've been using a thermarest self inflating pad for years, which has been great, but the time came for a new one, and after doing some research I decided to give the Klymit a try. Wow. Never have I slept on a more comfortable camping pad. No matter what position I was in, the v-rib design maintained a consistent cushion of air under every part of my body, even while side sleeping. I never once felt hard ground. And after 2 nights, it didn't seem to have lost even a single breath of air. I got the insulated version, not sure if it made a difference, but I was definitely warm enough. Needless to say, I am impressed. And for the price, it would be hard to beat. I'm planning on getting a double for camping with my wife. Well done, Klymit!

Simply amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this product was a warranty replacement, but I found the first Insulated Static V pad I had to be a great balance of comfort and (lack of) weight. It's light, relatively compact to pack, has a solid R-value (bearing in mind that I have only exposed it to NC winters), and it's comfortable. There are other pads out there that are lighter or thicker (or even both), but this is by far the best, at this price point. Klymit also honored their limited lifetime warrantee when the baffles started to fail at the head end, which is a major plus.

Great product with great service

Took this pad on deployment and it made life so much better considering the conditions. I didn't need the insulated, but regardless it was extremely comfortable, and it packs down small enough that I didn't have to worry about it taking away space for mission gear.

Bought for cold season camping and went off of first advertised R 4.4 rating not realizing its really a 1.9..uggg with that said I am half afraid to take on an upcoming elk hunt. Could be a dangerous situation.Seems deep crevices are a more of a gimmick, as there will be no insulating quality there. Will never impulse buy without investigating.

Not worth the money...
Yes, it is definitely convenient and compact! But!
Not the best option for long-term use.
I used it for a year during the war, and after a few months it began to constantly lower...
I tape one hole, in the morning another one appears (it is used on a folding bed with a sheet) purely along the seams... every day, before going to bed, I inflate it, and after a couple of hours it is deflated 🤬
The valve constantly leaks...

I would not order it again.
