[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i am a walmart associate and purchased this item.  first off, i really enjoy this heater and bought it for its ability to be used indoors and out, also because it's a different type of heat.  others, use a fan and heat something internally and blow out the hot air, this is radiant heat or whatever.  this is very nice.  i also purchased a lasko tower heater with a fan/no heat option - also very nice and useful.  i do enjoy the lasko because when i get too warm, fan only and im good.  however, the thermostat on lasko heaters (i've owned maybe 6 or 7 units) is near useless.  they simply are terrible.  it requires the temp to drop a huge amount for the heater to kick back on and, it super heats the space before turning off - incredibly frustrating.  now, this radiant indoor/outdoor heater.. doesnt have a thermostat at all.  so..you don't really win either way.  however, this heater works so well at maintaining the temperature in the room.  it hits, say 75-76 and stays there in a medium room.  fantastic.  now, depending on your situation, you cannot have it too close to anything because it'll heat everything up that is anywhere near it(you worry more about what's directly in front of the glow).   this includes yourself.  it'll seriously stat to cook you if you are too close.  you need to be say 3-4 feet away to avoid that but maybe further.  another thing, it heats the floor a little too much which i was surprised at and didn't think it would have been an issue but it really is.  it'll warp tiles or plank flooring so, you might need to put it up higher.  floor doesnt get super hot but enough to warp certain flooring.  you can easily walk barefoot or with socks around it so no worry.  slept with it on all night on p1(level 1) and it was nice.  didn't wake up to adjust the heater up or down(with my lasko heaters its a regular thing all day).  but i noticed the floor so i had to switch heaters until i find a stand i am okay with.  now the other thing...it does get very hot, just on level 1 or p1.  so, this will fry you and you'd probably glue to it if you touch it.  again, the concern is mainly the front of the unit where the heat/light is.  nice warm glow light it gives off on level 1.   i feel they could've put a bit more into the design, and these things could've been solved but, it is what it is.  so, the safety thing, huge.  this can be very dangerous.  as far as doing what it's supposed to, it's great and better than the typical heaters out there and this can be used outside so if you need to..thats great and i'm looking forward to testing that out one day.   so, choose wisely.
