I had one of these several years ago, but it was really cheap plastic and didn't hold up well at all. I already spent money on that one and didn't want to spend money on another one, so I never replaced it. I've just been doing without, but now I've decided it's time to get another one. I knew I was taking a chance by ordering this one, because the cost was so low, but I'm glad I did. This is really good quality, nice and sturdy. And it's the perfect size to cover my plates. This was a good purchase!

I use this every time I microwave food -- even if the dish has a cover.  I hate food splatters in my microwave!  I am short, my microwave is above my stove, and have to get a chair to clean it out!  I wish the cover was flat on top so I could heat more than one plate/bowl/level at a time.  Other than that, I have no complaints.
Ummmmm, it will melt if placed on a hot cookie sheet or range burner.  Just saying.

I literally have to have one of these in my microwave for my sanity. This one is perfect for doing the job of reducing splatters. I no longer have to spend time cleaning out the microwave because this is perfect enough. Get yourself one of these to save on the hassle of cleaning things that explode in the microwave!

This is a great product. I also will be repurchasing it. The quality is really nice I was surprised at how sturdy this product was. easy to clean. and you do not have to use a lot of time to heat up your items with this cover.  I have also given this is a gift to someone else.

don't overcomplicate your life trying to buy something fancy and expensive. we're in what looks like the beginning of a recession. get the job done and move on. that's what this cover does. used to be cheaper, but you know inflation got them prices levitating

Nice to be able to get just ONE of these to replace one that needed replacing and thus bring the set back up to  the starting number.

Works very well but the outer diameter is slightly larger than the turntable inside my microwave. It will still spin the turntable but the "Nordic Ware 10" Microwave Splatter Cover" doesn't spin because it touches the sides of the microwave oven. This is not the fault of the cover but because my microwave is on the smaller side. It has plenty sturdiness, is light weight, has a handle, and food cooks well inside it. Overall I am pleased with the item!

Works very well %26 I am pleased - but...

Love a spatter-free microwave! Sits atop my 11" diameter plate. Would rest on the microwave's glass carousel if plates were 10". Like how you can see your food heating through the milky-clear plastic. Vented. 'Handle' may be slippery if wet/greasy. Sturdy - has held up well over a couple of months' use now. Easy to clean by hand and have not tried it in the dishwasher. Appreciated Nordic Ware's recommendation to not microwave it longer than 3". Reasonable (less than $2 per item) price surprised me - bought three! Pleased with my purchase.

Spatter-free microwave!

Because of the way they made the handle, it does have a tendency to sit down in your food if you aren't careful about how you put it over things. Would have been better with an "outie" style rather than one that drops down. Other than that, it's great.

It gets the job done but it's very low. Can only use for plates with not much food on them. Otherwise the inside of top is resting in your food. For example a muffin is too tall for this plate cover. Also it has poor ventilation. Leaving your plate really wet. I tried using this for a frozen hot pocket and entire plate was soaked. Possibly because hot pocket was frozen, but not sure. Lastly the handle is almost useless. Not deep enough to grab at to lift. Price is great but I would not buy again. I plan to purchase a new one
