I had been wanting to replace my 12 yr old dishes for a long time. They were Mikasa Garden Harvest. I was tired of all of the silverware marks left on them. I was really worried these new dishes would do the same. I saw that some people posted that they had that problem. I almost didn't buy them, but loved the color and style so much I had to give them a try. I'm so glad I did! No silverware marks on them! They are also heavy and fit better in my dishwasher! They are beautiful. I feel like I'm at a restaurant everyday when using them.

Silverware marks, my thoughts..... When I got my Mikasa dishes I had also gotten new silverware. Both for wedding gifts. Maybe when the silverware is new it causes these marks. I continue to use the silverware (Stainless by Oneida) , which is not cheap silverware, with these new dishes! No silverware marks on these dishes! I have had these dishes for more than 4 months and use them everyday.

Thanks Noritake for a great style of dishes. The mugs are a great size and I really like the salad plate. I use the salad plates very often! I truly love these dishes! Hears to the next 12 yrs with Noritake!!! I Hope to add more accent pieces at some point.

This mug was a replacement for a dish set that was purchased within the last 10 years. I was so happy to find it on line to replace one that broke. The mug is very elegant and good for everyday use.

Elegant Noritake Mug

This pattern is definitely very simple, but I am a big fan of it because it goes with everything else in our kitchen. We chose the square dish set in the chocolate color and are very impressed with how durable the sets are and how rich the dark brown color is. I've dropped a few of the dishes when washing them and nothing has happened to them. I registered for these sets for my bridal shower and am very glad I did!

Just wish that Noritake still made colorwave in spruce green.

Holds water, etc

I love this set! I mixed the wide rim chocolate pattern with the narrow ridge chocolate pattern and it looks classic and fun on my table. Also, they wash wonderful!

The designs mix perfectly!

My husband and I received the chocolate set for our wedding and we love it. It's durable, beautiful, and cleans easily. It is a simple place setting that will go with everything. I love that we have been using it for about a year and a half and it still looks brand new, unlike other brands that show wear. We love that it is stone and can be placed in the oven of needed. I would recommend this product to anyone and would buy it again!

Could not be happier

I chose this pattern when planning my wedding. I had read several reviews about flatware leaving streaks on the china, therefore I must admit I was very nervous. I have been so pleasantly surprised. My Oneida flatware does great with my dishes and they are so durable and still look fantastic. I couldn't be more pleased with my choice.

Chocolate Colorwave

It's very common for our guests to comment how much they love our Chocolate Colorwave dishes. We have the square style so they already stand out from the normal round style. The brown color contrasts nicely with placemats and table cloths. And they feel very durable. Of course, it's always nice to be able to put dishes in the dishwasher so I'm glad I don't have to hand wash them so I can spend more time entertaining our guests and less time cleaning.

Everyone loves our dishes!

I love our set of Colorwave chocolate dishes. They have a nice feel to them and look great. We were given 12 place settings as a wedding present. The chocolate color is lighter on some of the dishes and darker on some of the others. It doesn't really bother me, but it is slightly noticeable when they are all stacked in the cupboard. Also, I really wanted a matching butter dish, but after purchasing it, I had to return it. It was so ugly! I would really like to see the butter dish have a small handle on the top to grab. Plus, it would probably help break up the plain oval look of the butter dish. Other colors aren't so bad for the Noritake butter dishes, but not the chocolate.

Great Dishes

Colorwave are very nice dishes.  I have had 3 other different color sets over the years.  However, this is the first set of square plates I have owned.  They are slightly heavier than the round plates.  The pictures on the website also show the square plates as much flatter than what they actually are. The square plate edges tilt up higher than the round, which I'm not sure I like. Not ALL meals sit in the center of the plate. Food has to sit on the angle/tilt of the plate. Example; if you are serving a meal of steak, baked potato, and a vegetable, or any other meal with more than one food choice. As always though, nice quality of dinnerware.

I purchased 12 place settings about a year ago, and have been disappointed at how easy it chips. I already have about 6 pieces with chips, in a household of adults only. Poor quality for the price.
