I'm having to return this item because the lid doesn't fit into the body, so I'm not able to close it snugly.  This defeats the purpose of the compost keeper, which is SUPPOSED to contain any nasty smells.  Although I LOVE the look, I'm returning it, hoping to find one which actually DOES what it is supposed to do.

Lid does not fit container! There is a small rubber seal on the lid but does not make contact with the edge to form airlock. I have no doubt that if used, flies and a smell would quickly follow :(  I plan to return!!

But if you want a smelly kitchen full of flies!

Looks great on my counter next to sink. Very handy. Perfect size. Does not stink, filter works well.

Pretty as the picture.  Only minor complaint is the top doesn't fit perfectly.

I like the counter compost container. Maybe priced a bit high. I don't actually compost in it,  but use it to store peels, coffee  egg shells

Beautiful on my counter!

It's beautiful!  I've been trying to reduce my garbage disposal useage and this is a perfect solution that looks wonderful on my counter.  I'm unable to work in my garden any longer, so I garden in patio containers.  This will help so much.
