We love this.  It's the least expensive of which many are MUCH MUCH more, yet it performs perfectly.  Has good recipes with it.  Note that the dent on the top lip of the metal canister is NOT a flaw (We returned on thinking it was).  It keeps the lid in place.

I purchased this as a summer activity for my nephews children. It is so easy to use the eight and ten year olds ( with the junket mix) are in charge of making the ice cream for the crew

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love making icecream. and for the $$, this is it. You can make up to 4qrts at a time. Most cost 3x more and you are lucky to get a Pint. And my grandchildren enjoy it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are thoroughly enjoying our ice cream!  The aluminum container performs it's function, but it easily bent or dented if mishandled a little.

Homemade ice cream

Have an older model and the dasher stripped out. The older model had a bigger motor, thus turning well and making great ice-cream.  We used it a LOT. When the dasher stripped out, we purchased this new one and the ice cream doesn't harden as well. I give it a 3 out of 5.

Just average

the plastc stem on paddle has already worn out.  I need a new paddle. only used 4 times.

Every time I tap the ice cream maker, the Walmart app takes me to the popcorn maker. The app will not let me initiate the return process because it keeps taking me to the popcorn maker.

App Malfunction

I have been making homemade ice cream for 12 years to sell at Relay for Life events. I have never had any difficulty in years past, but with these freezers (I ignorantly ordered 2) I have had nothing but problems. they either won't freeze at all or the outside of the ice cream freezes hard as a rock with the center still like milk. I have tried adjusting the salt and ice amounts, but nothing has worked. DO NOT WASTE YPUR MONEY on this ice cream freezer.
