Love this rug! it came in a timely manner (actually earlier than expected) and packaged well. It's a beautiful light blue color and is very soft to walk on. Cons are that it does shed and doesn't quite lay flat from being rolled in the packaging but both are only minor issues. My cat tends to pull and bite on the tassels and they have frayed quite a bit, but I'm not too worried about that. My dog also happened to throw up right on this new rug and it cleaned with no problem and no spots left. All in all, I love my purchase and will come back to buy other rugs in the future.

It does shed at first, but definitely decreases over time. Maintains its beauty, while getting softer with use. Tucking knots and trimming fibers necessary after each vacuum, but if you don’t mind them so much it provides a handmade/more relaxed quality. Absolutely LOVE this Rug!

Review Over Time

Bought this rug for my roommate and I to use in our living room. It’s firm and flat enough texture-wise that the pile doesn’t feel too spongy or too cushion-like to her, it was available in a nice 5 ft x 7 ft 6 size for me, and we both love the “brick” color. It looks exactly the same as the photo, a nice earthy red, maybe close to a burnt sienna or terra cotta if someone else named it. Our cat also loves it and plays with the tassels quite often. I plan to vacuum it a little more frequently than I have since buying it as bits and bobs get stuck and are very visible in the folds and small divets, but that’s just another reason to appreciate how beautiful it looks when fresh and clean.

Beautiful “brick” color rug for living room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The rug feels great underfoot. It sheds quite a bit which is expected. The strands have lifted in couple of places, so I will have to do some mending to prevent further damage. We've been using it for about two weeks now. We used it with the snowflake rug pad which we cut to size to fit.

Good value for the price

This rug is great and looks beautiful. The smell is strong but only for a few days. We also kind of quite liked it. It smelled new. The shedding is intense. We filled our Hoover vacuum about a dozen times in a few days. I’m hopeful there is an end in sight. We recently got a Dyson with the laser and while I’ve given up on vacuuming the rug, the area around it does get quite a bit of shedding despite the rug being in a low traffic area. I’ve never had a jute rug so maybe it’s supposed to feel like this but it isn’t the most soft on your feet. All in all, it’s the look we wanted and we’ll keep it but I hope shedding stops.

Beautiful rug

Chunk natural

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, so good. Purchased an 8ft round. I wasn't expecting a band on it, and I was specifically looking for one without a band. The rug arrived on time and in good condition. It is softer than I expected. There is no smell that you sometimes get with a new rug, so that's a plus since I needed to use my rug immediately. I was offered a 10% off coupon for a review, but I don't consider that an incentive.

Soft and adds a cozy look

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this rug. It is held down by my sectional so it doesn’t slide. It’s a unique color and has great texture. The only negative is that some of the fringe tassels at the end have started to unravel.

Love it!

This is the 2nd one we purchased. I use the chunky jute rugs under smaller flat weave rugs to tie the room together. They do shed some dust but we sweep under our rugs regularly anyway and it's no big deal. There are also some hard bits in the rug when it arrived but we gave it a once over on day one and pulled them all out, again no big deal and part of the nature of a natural fiber rug. We love them!

Great rug!

This rug was pretty, however after having it for just 2 weeks down I have removed it. When I vacuumed it the first time, threads came undone and were ragged. I then swept it. Then I lifted the rug up to sweep and it was full of dirt and dust. That was very strange since it had been vacuumed a few times and swept once within the 2 week period, since the first fraying. I would not recommend this as an inside rug. I would also be weary of using it outside because I believe it would just get sopping wet and soggy. I will return it. Definitely a disappointment.
