It does not have a weird smell and actually does not smell like anything. Would definitely recommend this for anyone with big dogs!

He is a fairly big dog and has a lot of muscle on him and he looked like a puppy playing with this toy. He was excited, I'm guessing the taste was new to him so it was a win for my house and dog.

                    Nylabone barbell power chew has finally wowed not only me but Otis as well who is part beagle and Jack russel and even after hours of chewing hardly put a dent in this and it don't hurt it has peanut butter flavor which is Otis favorite. 
                    
                    My dog is one happy camper and so am I!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this almost 5 weeks ago and it has withstood the chompers of my big lab mix Duke! He LOVES to chew on things and every toy we have bought him doesn't seem to last any significant amount of time. They all seem to fall apart on him. So far this barbell has been awesome! He just lays on the couch and chews on it. He seems to like the flavor and he DOES NOT want my other pup to chew on it. Great buy!
