This is a lifesaver with kids in Az, and no they cant get there tiny fingers in the fan. I have both rechargeable and the battery operated ones love them both. Definitely recommended getting these!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the convenience of having a way to cool off and being able to recharge quickly by just changing batteries. My advice is to use rechargeable batteries to save on expense.

Battery op fan

I like the color and that I can wrap it around my neck. I like that it takes double A batteries so I can just switch them out and not have to put it on a charger for hours. It does only have one speed, but thats ok.

These are great little fans. I got a pair so that I could give one to my mother, and the other to my granddaughter. They are both happy with them. The only thing that I don't love about them is that they only have one fan speed. The rechargeable one has 3 speeds. I highly recommend both types. They're wonderful for hot days and hot flashes.

About 3 yrs ago, my friend got me a 02COOL neck fan.  I'm a menopausal Caregiver, whose clients have their homes quite warm.  The breeze from this fan keeps me from being very sweaty, and I use it a good 6 hrs a day!  My first fan had dropped so many times, from my hands, causing a loose connection, so I was tickled when I found them online at  Wal-Mart :) and at such a good price!  I ordered two because they were so cheap.  I give the 02COOL fans two thumbs up!!!

Love my fan!

I have purchased several of these fans, but they were the rechargeable type. The issue there, is once they start winding down, you have to wait for them to charge back up, in order to use again. This time I tried the battery operated style, to eliminate that problem. Unless you just like buying batteries, I highly suggest investing in some rechargeable ones. I have several, which was another reason I bought this style.

As for the fan, my only complaint, is that it only has one speed, where the rechargeable style has two. Everything else, is pretty much the same. I wear mine daily at work, and recommended it to others, all of the time. It certainly makes my job more bearable. 

Note- this fan will not help you, if you are hiking or working outdoors. Its not an air conditioner. It blows the existing air up towards your face. I suppose that technically it is probably a bit cooler, but if its hot outside, it won't help. 

The fan is lightweight and has very little noise.

Great Personal Fan

I purchased several of these fans for the family. They did come in handy on hot days, but unfortunately, they were not too powerful; you get a nice breeze from them on the first day or two of new batteries, but it starts to slow down by the second day. I still carry them everywhere I go because they are travel-friendly. They come in nice colors> I also enjoy the shape and placement of the fan. The breeze hits the front of the face, as others with fans placed under the sides of the neck often seem not comfy the ears. Overall, the concept is great, but the power of the fan needs improvement. It would be better if they where rechargable.

This item was just ok

It is really cute but cheaply made. The batteries are not staying in place. There is only one speed, and it does not put out much air.

There should not be a gap between the batteries because they will not stay in place. It is a good idea but needs improvement.

Hot and Mad

l didn't know it worked by batteries. Batteries are too expensive and they didn't last a full work week.The previous fan was Rechargeable..l love the Rechargeable kind.

I ordered these because they were highly recommended and had great reviews but I put fresh batteries in both of them and the motors barely turned I immediately returned into Walmart
