Doing the abbey young method, I apply this to my ends and leave it for at least 30 minutes before washing. The point is to protect your ends when you shampoo. It's helped my fine hair during washing (and during winter) tremendously. DO NOT APPLY TO ROOTS. But if you have fine/dry hair, and you're thinking of trying, for the price I think you should. It's worked so great for me.

This OGX Coconut Oil Hair Mist is a nice lightweight leave-in treatment that helps add softness and shine without making hair feel heavy. It has a pleasant coconut scent and works well for taming frizz and dry ends. The spray bottle is easy to use, and it's a good option for quick daily moisture.

Lightweight Shine and Hydration

I am on meds for RA and went from having very healthy thick hair to damaged brittle hair that is nothing like what it was.  I bought this product and it was so helpful I replaced my shampoo, conditioner, and other hair care products to this brand.  My hair is still not like what it was but using these products has made a huge difference.

Great product and brand

I use this as a pre shampoo treatment. I'm a huge fan of the ogx penetrating coconut and argan oils, but it is nice to switch it up with a spray version.

Ogx mist

AWESOME product in a NON-WORKING spray bottle. This product does exactly what I wanted it to do, puts a sheen (think fairy dust) on my hair. I love it. My husband loves it. BUT as many reviewers noted the spray bottle does NOT spray!!! SO if you purchase this product, do as I did, have an empty spray bottle at the ready. Then you can style your hair, add your hair spray if you like and lightly mist this over the top for a beautiful finish!!!! OGX seems to me if you can produce such a fabUlous product, you could come up with a bottle that actually delivers the product as promised. It says "Mist" in the product description...that means you need to be able to mist it on WITH A WORKING SPRAY BOTTLE!!! You missed out on 5 stars because of the failed bottle.

To be honest this is so messy I didnt bother using it more than twice so I don't know if it necessarily works. The spray is so messy it goes everywhere. It does make your hair slick and it's easy to weigh it down if you do one spray too many. I'm not the biggest fan of coconut so the scent of of like coconut sunscreen isn't for me but I liked the claims

Messy

It smells good and feels good on your skin...not real oily or greasy.  But it WONT spray out! You have to pour it out! Very disappointed especially paying such a high price! Won't buy again until they make a spray that works! This is the 2 nd time it's happened.

OGX Coconut oil spray

Scent:  stinks.  Smells like very old stale oil.  Only the faintest hint of any coconut.  It is very thin, which is why I chose it over there other options.  I was afraid the others would be too  oily on my hair, plus the spray bottle was a plus.  First, don't let the spray bottle sway you.  You really still have to spray it on your hands to use it or it makes a mess and is concentrated in one place on your hair.  I think this would probably work well for someone with really dry, frizzy, damaged hair but it made my hair feel sticky.  Yeah it felt soft but mostly in a slick way I think, because it made my hands feel sticky whenever I would touch my hair.  I know a lot of people use oil prior to shampooing as a pre-treatment.  I considered keeping it for that alone, but as it also made my neck break out in pimples, in the trash it went.

Probably good for some

I want to love it because it smells great, but I can't when every time I use it my hair becomes a frizzy mess halfway through the day. My hair becomes more frizzy with this product than it does when I use no anti frizz product. For something that is supposed to help to smooth hair and tame frizz, it has failed me big time.

Worse fizziness!
