Olfa-Folded Cutting Mat. Durable cutting surface absorbs cuts made by rotary cutters and art knives. Folds flat for easy portability and when flat, the fold line becomes almost invisible. Wavy fold line creates a smooth, gapless surface when laid flat (will not skip threads when cutting directly over fold). Measures 2.5mm thick. Features a flat, green back with no grid lines (Do not cut across the backing of the fold line). This package contains one 17x24 inch cutting mat when unfolded. Imported.

Quality

I am busy professional tailor. Occasionally I travel to teach or to participate in continuing education workshops and conferences that require me to bring my own equipment. A cutting mat that fits in my suitcase, but then folds out large enough to cut out a bodice is my new favorite! Same OLFA mat quality, folds in half to fit in most carryon luggage, and no gap or bump at the fold. Combined with my lightweight OLFA rotary cutters, traveling for work has become so much easier. lighter, and less awkward.

Essential for traveling sewists!

I have been using this mat about a month and love it!  I keep it folded on left side of my 18 x 24 side table by my sewing machine. Right side is my 12 x 17 wool pressing mat. When I need full size I just fold cutting mat out and remove wool mat.  Previous mat did not hold up to steam from pressing mat so warped badly (not Olfa mat). Olfa was my very 1st mat and then couple other brands in between but Olfa still the best. Folding mat eliminates any potential issues from steam. Old mat can be recycled for sturdy bottom inserts for tote bags I make.

I fit it in my sewing machine bag and take it with me wherever my sewing machine goes (guild sews, sewing with friends, class, or retreats). Don't travel without it!

I have this mat and have used for several years. It fits in my sewing machine trolley.  It is great to go to quilting reteats - smaller to transport as it folds in half,  but big when you get to the retreat to use it.

Love this folding mat

This mat fits perfectly in my sewing machine bag. The mat is standard Olfa quality. I have never had an issue when cutting across the fold - it behaves like my full size mat, but stores in half the spa!
